both cars have their ups and downs ive driven a vette and ive driven an evo 9 and 10 and i must say all are magnificent pieces of art in their classnow when you mod them and start to mix the two such as a 2 dr sports car and a sedan thats when things get complicated so how bout all car enthusiasts just be friends accept each other for the love of working on cars no matter whats under the hood because all cars have their own beauty

I see so many high school girls and older women driving stangs. You hardly ever see a vette, (at least were I've lived) When you buy a Vette you probably have enough to maintain it too. When was the last time you've seen a stock Cobra beat a stock Vette? I've never been a fan of owning something that everyone and their mother, grandmother, sister, uncle, father, brother and best friend has. But that's just me.

As long as the car is not riced out and not driven by some air head then it should be respected, and for everyone's information a domestic can be riced out as well, I have seen it many times. I drove a red 04 SVT Focus... built it to a 12:4.1 fully bolted and a 175 shot of NO2. Haha, shit was so muchhhhh fun to drive!! Now I got a Speed3. Props to still rocking it!

Stock yes, but if you supercharge the stang your looking at similar quarter times for a lot less of the cost, was unaware the Corvette parts lasted longer...that's one plus, but for the initial cost to be almost 3 times as much, and 2 times after going supercharged, I would still stay with the stang.

I definitely wouldn't be surprised if the Vette was better at higher speeds, both because of the engine displacement and because of AWD drivetrain loss on the Evo. Meh I would take either car, though I actually find turbo cars that are more peaky in the powerband to be more interesting to drive.

I never said I owned it, I have ridden in it, you never said I had to own it "never been in a Z06 I see"...it is a friend of a friend's, I used rough numbers as I don't actually remember the exact specifics, I just know it was somewhere in the 700 - 900 hp range (most likely closer to the 900 hp range). When he took me for a ride, he laid rubber in all 5 gears no problem. It is a 454 big block, stroked, rollerized...in other words, fully built.

Are you serious? The vette caught up to it and passed it. I appreciate the EVO, but it's pretty hard to beat the torque of a V8. The only reason the EVO beat it off the line is because it is AWD.
Ahh I see, ya I love the sleeper look, stock as possible...I made my own exhaust system and tried to make it look stock as possible at the tip (mild steel tip, recessed just a bit to hide the size). The only time you know my car isn't a sleeper is when I pop the hood, as it's clean and shiny :P That's cool, I like the "done up" look too when it's done right and clean.

just want to say, take a closer look. the vettes wheels are clearly spinning and there are 2 black marks there once he takes off... i owned an 8sec dsm and own a 9sec tbss and i will be the first to say those evos are nasty as f#$k but that vette is just insane.... wish the camera car would have kept up too see the end
20+psi is definitely worth it for a 4cyl car to be that close with a v8 that obviously has work done to it as well and probably cost 2-3 times more. Evo's are still nicer
uhhh, he stayed with him pretty damn good considering the evo guy did a pretty clean launch and didnt just dump the clutch, which means that vette walked him quickly after. I like evos and vettes both just about equally, theyre both sweet, but that was more impressive of the vette imho. Seems like another internet kid trash talking for no reason.

Oh cool, ya the k20's are popular, the b series is more if you don't have the money or experience for K. You can be at equal power for a little less with B series (13sec quarters is usually the barrier) and past that it will cost more and still be slower then a K, plus you have to go turbo. I went with the K, because I want the strongest platform from the start, 12's with I/H/E w/ tune and 9/10's with turbo. All while keeping it a daily driver.
Iv driven a c6 with a racing engine and all that shit.. (my dad aowned the car barley drove) and i dont think im that bad of a driver but i thought its hard as shit to change gears in a vette, so good job on shifting bro

no, it's just a sports car. they have even classified them as exotic recently because they are so powerful and handle so well. never muscle though.
i consider a 50k car that with 20k in upgrades can beat 250k-350k cars a pretty good bargain, not just in straight line speed either

the maintenance* for a corvette is double the miles of when a shelby cobra needs to. And the price is nearly the same, yet the vette is faster.
