Absolute best performance of this song I’ve come across. It took 13 years for UA-cam to show this to me. That is crazy, especially since I’ve actively searched through every video searching would provide on more than probably 10 occasions of this specific song. Finally, what might be their richest performance of it ever, given to a small crowd of maybe 50 people in a small corner of a bookstore. Thank you universe for giving me this today. I needed that. Touched a hole in my soul that only these fellows and one old dear friend have ever seemed to understand. I’m still feel 15 years old sometimes going on 40. They say I’ll still feel that way when I’m 80. I am a breathing time machine.
I love how they simply ease into their songs. As if they're not performing, rather just hanging out and letting the music guide them. Ahh, so refreshing and pure. Love.
Saw them in Toronto May 16 2012 - awesome doesn't even begin to describe their show. This is definitely a band that you have to experience live at least once. Their songs never get old. Could listen to Laundry Room over and over again.
6:25 is classic Avett Brothers. I love hearing all their different renditions and live versions of songs. I could listen to the same song over and over again and hear something new every time! #t2tunas
Saw them play this song last night at the show in Columbus, OH. It is one of my favortie songs of The Avett Brothers, and it is really so much more amazing live. SO GOOD.
🐝 “I am a breathing time machine”. How we need of those. In the meantime, we find quarantine relief in the Avett brothers, and I am profoundly grateful.
You know there are musical national treasures and the Avetts are in that category (along with Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt and John Fogerty).
@TABrmayes Never hated someone I don't know quite as much as I do you...LOL...just kiddin man, I bet that was freakin amazing. Best artists going, I'd love to meet em.
@verkpunk Dunno about that. Emotionalism was incredible. So was Mignonette and both Gleams. And I and Love and You and Country Was. A Carolina Jubilee was really good too.
@TABrmayes Aww - I saw you! There is no better feelingin the world than being up close to the ones you love - even i f the ones you llove are a band and somestimes especially!!!! Keep driving my friend!
@SofaKingPanda And so true of lyrics I write. I'll write a whole song about someone, or something serious, and then go "fuck it, theres no way I'm letting people see this"
@OuseValleyThree Way to toot your own horn. I can tell you without even listening to your music that The Avett Brothers are far better than you, and they are most definitely more classy. If you think anyone will check out your music because of your post, then you're crazy.
Amazing.. I still don't understand why more people don't appreciate this music.. Totally underrated band.. Beautiful people

Very cool
I love how they simply ease into their songs. As if they're not performing, rather just hanging out and letting the music guide them. Ahh, so refreshing and pure. Love.

They are perfection.
This music makes me smile and feel sad at the same time. Anyone else?
Damn, great version or a great song.....at Borders even, before their demise
to me, a good voice, a good beard, and a good banjo are what make a band.
Does anyone else get goosebumps when you see this song bring this room to life?

Impossible for the CD version not to be disappointing when you play live like this.
I know it's quite randomly asking but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Israel Tommy i watch on flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Jermaine Baker definitely, I have been watching on FlixZone for months myself =)

And to think this is just the opener!
even their tuning sounds beautiful :')
Wish Borders was still around.
I would love to see these guys live!
You know there are musical national treasures and the Avetts are in that category (along with Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt and John Fogerty).
Is it just me or does everyone get chills when Seth screams before the breakdown?
Only they would put enough heart into their music to bring down the house at a bookstore.
thats always been my favorite line of any of their songs.
I just saw them live in cleveland....its such an awesome show
The Avett Brothers in Santa Barbra the 28th i am counting the days!

Decide what to be and go be it!
I used to work in a Borders and I am sorry to say I never caught Scott Avett napping in a corner with a magazine. :(

@TABrmayes Never hated someone I don't know quite as much as I do you...LOL...just kiddin man, I bet that was freakin amazing. Best artists going, I'd love to meet em.
If you are not up and dancing by the end of this song....you dont have a pulse.
@cocobe10 I think the intro of this song was written so scott would have a stylish way to tun his banjo and keep people interested
@verkpunk Dunno about that. Emotionalism was incredible. So was Mignonette and both Gleams. And I and Love and You and Country Was. A Carolina Jubilee was really good too.
@SofaKingPanda This has always been my favorite quote from them too!
How does this have under 100k views? Christ, man. Tell EVERYONE!
@xbookfreekx Live is always better with the Avett Brothers. Love them!
