Fun fact: The entire storyline in Toy Box is actually canon to the Toy Story movies. Pixar helped in creating the world, and Nomura mentioned struggling with them to make it a canon story. Of course things could always change if Pixar decided otherwise, but so far it's considered canon and takes place between Toy Story 2 and 3.
Do you have a source for that? That sounds really strange because I can't imagine toy story characters in toy story 3 and 4 having memories of Sora and the others TBH though it's true that the story they imagine for KH III doesn't contradict any of the toy story movies

@@stryaterra Thanks and hum I might be wrong but I don't think he meant "canon canon". I think he probably meant more like a story that could have been inserted between two of the movies without contradicting anything (and therefore not contradicting canon material). I think that for several reasons:
1) They lived something HUGE I mean they saw magic in front of them, creatures from the dark, people who can fly, people who can teleport, toys being possessed to attack others against their wills, Buzz's laser being 100% real, a portal of darkness, an entire zone covered in magical darkness that suddenly disappeared, their world being separate in two versions etc ... and despite all that crazy stuff, nobody ever mentions any of that again. Now toy story 3 was released in 2010 so yeah you can't expect them to incorporate stuff from KH III since the game is from 2019. HOWEVER the same doesn't apply to toy story 4 that was released 6 months after KH III (and in fact thanks to trailers of KH III we know since july 2017 (so almost 48 months before the release of toy story 4) that toy story would be incorporated. So that means it could have been easy for pixar to even include one little dialogue like "hey Buzz, remember our friends from verum rex?" "Yeah I do cowboy, wonder what they're doing" or even a little easter egg. Pretty strange they didn't even try considering they had two years to do so and also since KH III was released 6 months before toy story 4 the game itself was a reminder in case they forgot and frankly I think 6 months is not only more than enough to include a little dialogue but also close enough to toy story 4's release date to make sure you cannot forget about it. Also in addition to all the weird/magical stuff there was a long scene with Woody saying all that stuff about hearts/love etc ... and Sora and the others being part of their hearts. So personally I have problems with them not mentioning them even once because that'd mean that if KH III is canon, therefore, Woody and Buzz are characters who may forget about precious friends they made which is against their characters because they aren't the types of persons to leave friends behind (especially after toy story 2. During the events of toy story 1 Woody tried to get rid of Buzz because he was jealous but he clearly evolved a lot since that). That "memory problem" could have been explained if they met Buzz and Woody before the events of KH chain of memory it'd make sense because Sora was temporarily removed from his friends' memories, but they don't even have that excuse since they met each others in KH III so yeah I really have a problem with Woody and Buzz forgetting people who're "part of their heart".
2) Even if Sora isn't mentioned why is it that verum rex isn't mentioned too (after all it's literally part of toy story's world right?)? It'd be easy to have a little easter egg, a discreet poster or something IDK.
3) let's imagine KH III is 100% canon to toy story to the point toy story characters have memories of Sora and the others in toy story 3 and 4. Why only toy story? Why not all other disney verses (it's true that the events are incoherent with disney movies most the time though). But still, why is it that it'd magically work only for toy story but not for others?
@@jeune-fou the plot that was used for kh3 toy box was actually gonna be the plot for toy story 3-obviously without the heartless and sora, but it was scrapped; at least that is what I remember reading from sources.
They decided to use that plot for kh3 which I think is cool because it gives an explanation on why the toys ate alive.

For a little context about Woody's VA here, he is voiced by Tom Hank's brother Jim Hanks. They worked out a deal where while Tom plays as Woody for the movies, Jim voices him for everything else, shows, toys, video games. So there ya go. As for Tim Allen not being Buzz...got me honestly. Either scheduling conflict, or a money thing, I don't know. Still pretty good though if you ask me.

Yeah the whole thing with having Kairi call him Axel again is he thinks it'll help him remember more after that brief flash, old memories starting to resurface with how much Kairi resembles Xion and all that.
Oh and apparently the Toy Story world takes place between Toy Story 1 and 2
Xion's appearance is based on Sora's memories of Kairi from KH1 so her saying almost the exact thing Xion said to him in 358/2 days sparked a memory deep in his heart and thus tears

You can alter the mind, but a heart never forgets, those most treasured memories are in the heart, that's why Axel is kinda able to remember Xion.
That's the thing, wasn't she supposed to be completely wiped from everyone's memories? I get that Roxas and Axel were close to Xion, but shouldn't the still have no recollection of her whatsoever?
I wish there were more scenes like that in the game that tugged on the players hear.
@@taecampus Think about memories more like moments you have with a person that you can recall. Those are unchained from Axel and within sora. But Hearts are connections we make with people and how we feel about them. So they kind of have their own subcious memory. Like how a the real versions of Haynor Pence and Ollete were not friends with Roxas but they still feel that bond their data counterparts made. Because that friendship was made with hearts that were identical with their own and they were affected by it also. But they don't have memories of it because it never happened to them.

But that's actually a good explanation. Even though they can't exactly remember Xion whatsoever, they could still somehow remember those moments. While it's fuzzy because they can't remember why they were in those moments to begin with, or because their memories of sed moments were manipulated because of Xion's lost, it still lingers. I mean a great example would be Vexen's note. Memories of Xion were erased but were still jotted down. If she were truly gone they would have been donezo as well.
However the Twilight town gang's bond with Roxas was still odd 😅. I can't understand your great explanations on Xion, but these kids shouldn't have to attachment or bond with someone they never knew. But the data version of TT was made up of hearts as well right? And for some stranger reason, when Sora first awoke there, the gang felt as though they met Sora.... its odd
Just as Sora still felt his bond with Kairi even after having his memories of her disconnected from his mind, Lea/Axel continues to do so as well in regards to one of his best friends. The memories of Xion still exist in the hearts of those who cared about her, simply disconnected. All they need is some sort of "spark" to light the way back to remembering.
Fun fact, Yozora looks like Noctis, because Verum Rex is Tetsuya Nomura's nod to his original concept for Final Fantasy Versus 13, which he initially started directing, but it was then cancelled and later transformed into Final Fantasy 15 under Hajime Tabata. This is basically his way of telling us he's never forgotten, and he still wants to tell the story of Versus 13.

When I first saw the Verum Rex ad, my reaction was pretty much this:

Not a spoiler but verum Rex is actually a callback to “final fantasy versus 13” a game nomura was in charge of but then he got kicked of the project and it became “Final fantasy 15”.

Or Sora is using just one keyblade but changing it’s form using keychains. If he suddenly started three at one time *without* switching then it would be a different story.
But he had the same number of hearts in kh2 and could only wield 2 blades ;P
@@KHhero but that was like both at the same time. In Kh3 it more like a single keyblade with 3 different keychains to switch between or at least that's how I imagined it after re:coded since the different keyblades were used by changing the keychain chip.

So, in a way, kind that makes Ansem and Xemnas the children of Terra and Xehanort.

DeeBeeGeek if you don't want to use the attractions you can turn them off in the settings menu. Then the only time the option to use them will only appear when it is part of a boss fight which only happens twice altogether the first being the Rock Titan.

In case no one told you Dee, the reason why Axel managed to remember Xion is:
Even though Namine was technically Kairi's Nobody, and was connected to Sora's Heart. Xion was Sora's MEMORIES of Kairi, passing through Roxas' into the Dummy.
So Kairi, unlike anyone else, actually has 2 Nobodies. And since Axel was spending so much time with Kairi, and also started sitting time actually trying to remember, it bright his Heart back into contact with Xion's.
(Edit) And the reason why Lea decided to stay as Axel is because even though he loved his memories of his childhood with Isa (Saïx), Roxas was his BEST friend.
And as he proved in KH2, all he wants is that life back.

Here's a couple of gameplay tips:
- When you formchange a keyblade and then switch to another, the countdown timer freezes until you switch back. You can use this to keep keyblades transformed for much longer by switching them out when outside of combat. This is doubly useful for the shield formchange, as you can use it to stockpile on counterattacks and strike when the time is right.
- Focus mode can be entered in the midddle of almost any animation. You can take advantage of attack finisher animations or even blocking to charge up shotlocks or, a personal favourite, zip around from enemy to enemy via airstepping.
- Speaking of airstepping, there's a flowmotion move (that single vertical strike) that kinda... sucks. It transitions poorly into other combos and overall just kills your flow (ha). Fortunately, you can go into the abilities menu and disable that specific move, allowing you to smoothly switch from airstepping into a full combo without that awkward pause in-between.
- It's possible to bypass Dual Arrowguns' combo finisher by dashing right before (aka when Sora does the spinning move). Doing this constantly allows you to keep shooting bullets non-stop during crowd fights.
I love it every time when Xiggy appears on screen, and your reaction to it.

The voice of Woody is Tom Hanks brother Jim Hanks who actually voices Woody in the majority of any non movie appearances the character makes (games, small cartoons/direct to video movies etc), any toys that use a voice and was also Toms body double in Forrest Gump. You could make an argument that given how many times Jim’s voice has been used and heard around the world that actually Woodys more his character than Tom’s as he’s only played the character 7 times in comparison (and one of those was in Cars that was a Woody themed car so technically a different character)
I think Dee Bee Geek should record his audio separately, just in case he gets DMCA'd. That way even if we can't get his game audio, we can at least get his reactions.

Don't forgot, we learned, from the other games already played, that Xion was created from the memories Sora had of Kairi when Origanization 13 took them from Sora in Chain of Memories. Kairi's presents is triggering Lee/Axel's memory of Xions. Xion's memory and heart resides in Sora, as we saw in Drop Dream Distance.
Finally I get to see his reaction to the Verum Rex stuff. Basically Yozora is Noctis it’s a reference/commentary on when touching in the more of the kingdom hearts creator had written and was directing the original story for Final Fantasy versus 13 which would eventually be taken to him and then turned into final fantasy 15 which did not represent the original product. Now I just can’t wait to see your reaction to the secret endings both of them of this game and then I can’t wait to see you play the kingdom hearts three DLC that’s gonna be so fucking cool

It was called FF XIII Versus, but they took him off the project, renamed it, and changed a ton of the game.
Rumor is that he's bitter about it and planning to use the ideas they scrapped in future KH games.

I’m coming here from partially through the first episode, I just want to give you some tips without backseat gaming or spoiling.
Idk if you saw it early in Olympus Coliseum but you can switch what the triangle command is on by pressing L2/LT. This way you don’t have to waste your keyblade form to use the other triangle commands because you ideally want to stay in the form as long as possible.
Also don’t spam triangle, keep the form active and try not to instantly use the finish, it’s just better damage over time.
One final tip, you can pause the timer on a keyblade form by switching to another keyblade (I think with left or right on the dpad). This means if you get a form and the fight ends right away, you can just switch to another keyblade to have it for the start of another fight.
Edit: okay it looks like you noticed some of it already, nice.
