How to get a Business Credit Card Without a Business

- When I mention you can get a business credit card without having a business, people automatically think about the CIA breaking through the door and chase calling code blue. ✅Free LLC: bit.ly/Zenbusiness✅
In reality its a lot more simple than you think, so in this video, I’ll tell you how to do it, and also with no lying involved. I don’t want you to lie, on your application because that could cost some issues. (and you should never do it )
How to Get a Busines Credit Card without a Business
Segway: But guys lets get into the video I'm breaking down, how exactly you can get a business card without having a business officially.
1. There are two ways you can apply, as a sole proprietorship with your social or as a corporation with an EIN number. Let me explain.
For Example:
- When I got my business official, I got what you call an LLC, Limited Liability Company.
- This way when angry companies try to sue me for being honest
- They'll just sue the business, which I can make sure has no financial gains at the moment ( all legal of course) This way they can't come after my personal assets.
Now: To create an LLC, here's how you do it
- You’ll have to pay filling in your state: prices are different are vary
- And you’ll have to pay the person that set it for you, usually a fee of 200+
- But… if you do it how I did it, then it comes out free
I used ZENBusiness and they file the business for free

Tip: If you want to start a side hustle, this might be a good reason to do it also.
Btw: and EIN Number is just an identification number for your business, like what your social is to you
2. Sole Proprietorship
Example:
- This is the easiest one, but if your business turns real and official, then you’ll be liable for any liabilities.
- But don’t worry you can always convert it into an LLC
- So if things do get serious you can make it more official.
How this works:
- When you apply, they’ll ask you for your social security and it will be based on you
- Because a sole Propriaship just means, you’re the owner and you take all the risk, and also are responsible for all the debts.
- Not my favourite but the easiest if your not really that active.
3. What business can I make
Example:
- When they initially make you a business account, they’ll use it with your information usually and the corporations
- Same for a credit card, because most first-time agreements require to be liable
- But I’m telling you this to let you know you don’t need a billion-dollar in the sales business, it can be 100 bucks a month
Examples;
- Selling things on eBay: I did for a while, you can go to goodwill or sell items around the house and call a business.
- Freelancing: Fiverr, Upwork, if you have a skill and you use it once a month, then that’s a business
- Consulting: Hey I consult my friend on how to do what I just did and charged him $5, that’s a business.
- Driving for rideshare apps: I drive uber and uber eats once a month, things are hard but that’s a business.
- Babysitting - mom pays me to babysit, it's my business.
4. But Tommy what about my credit | how I’m I going to get approved and will it hurt me
Well, the answer is not as simple as 1-2 but its as simple and 1-3 (it's not supposed to make sense, don’t overthink it)
- But some credit cards report the balance and some don’t
- Example Discover and Capital One have a reputation for reporting what goes on in your business account to your business credit score
- But chase has never done it to me
Solution: ask them before you apply.

This is my favorite video I seen from Tommy and just reassured me all dreams are possible with out worrying about big cost it can take to start being your own boss and just too scared to even try.. thank you for the va,jab,e information as I for months been stalling on starting a LLC as right now also before you could walk into a bank and open a D.B.A (doing business As) most banks do not offer that no more and if u was lucky to have one and opened one back in 1990’s it kinda worked the same way but with out protection if u was gonna be sued. This is great and tomor I will start 2 LLC and do ur homework guys and gals some states for a LLC is super cheap and not like NY That the fees are much much more.. some states also allow you to open a biz bank account with out even traveling to that state and so on.. do your part of home work and pull that trigger and get ur own LLC ASAP before laws get changed

Hello, I need some help. So I have an LLC for a business that I am intending to launch by the end of this year. I have an EIN already, but I have no revenue yet. I have a good credit score too. But whenever I go to apply for a business credit card, I get denied. Apparently, I have a credit account open but it hasn't been open long enough. I opened a personal credit account back in around July of 2018, I have never missed a payment or paid money late. I'm in good standing with my bank (Discover). if I call the bank and apply directly through them and explained, do you think they will accept?

Tommy, I am an independent contractor, I drive for grub hub and door dash on top of my full time job. I'm going to get a business license here shortly . My personal credit is poor ( I'm currently working on it with a 3rd party), however my car is in need of some repairs. Ex... The front bumper & grill were damaged when I bought it, while out on delivery something came flying at me, hit my bumper and the damn thing fell to the ground and is now tied into my car with rope ! Because of the pre existing damage I cannot file a claim for repairs so my OOP Cost is Crazy. Would I be able to follow the steps you laid out her to get business credit to fix my car?

With the new scoring systems in place scores range from 850 to 900.
The problem is that every credit card application asks for income! You do not explain how to get around that!

business credit is tied to your personal credit, so make sure the personal credit is on point.

Considering you've mentioned being an accountant, and brought up consulting in this video, I was thinking it would be nice to see a lil bit more of an "advanced" line of videos from you. Videos where you can address more complicated business issues and questions that we have or that you may have encountered. Legal loopholes is a title im going to search right after i type this.
