Wonderful video personality and such awesome content for Bible study! You are so dang funny Jason Mayfield!!!! Hilarious !!!! Your stream of consciousness style is awesome!!!
For writing: Uniball Style Fit and Pilot Hi-Tec-C (or G) .28 or .3mm come in a huge variety of colors. You can buy them singly or make up your own multi-pen assortments of 2, 3, 4, or 5 refills. I love them because they are so fine, allowing me to write a LOT of stuff in small spaces. (It helps that I don't write big.)
Pilot Frixtion highlighters are amazing! Nice pale colors so the neon yellow doesn't hurt your eyes and they don't bleed to much. Plus they erase when you let them dry
Get ready to have your mind blown again! 🤯 Frixion Fineliners don’t bleed thru and are, wait for it.... ERASABLE MARKERS! I know! Unbelievable, right?!! They also make highlighters that are, you guessed it...erasable! Enjoy that nugget.
Granted you have to deal with sharpening, but colored pencils do a great job of highlighting with no bleed thru at all. I do like the Sharpie Art pens you demo'd. Will definitely be making a stop a Sam's Club!
I don't like marking my Bible for numerous reasons (cost of my top-end bible, for one) , but lately I've decided to give it a go. I like the Zebra highlighter the best. I also did a bit of work with the Staedtler Texturised Gel Highlighter, which was quite subtle in colour, but due to its wide point was less accurate when trying highlight smaller text.
Tombow brush pens are more for doing brush lettering such as a faux calligraphy and for coloring. I love mine but not for highlighting in my bible:) Pilot Frixion for highlighting is nice. They are erasable. I'm after the Sharpie Art pens now. Thank you!
I gave Mildliners a try and thought to come back to this video and comment. They are double tip and are not bleeding through for me. you get your standard expected ghosting but bible text itself ghosts so I dont mind it.
I just can’t get away from Pilot G2s! Never used a pen that writes better or bolder. The waiting a few second for the ink to dry and occasional smearing is worth it to me haha
Okay, this video is old, but I had share. I am somewhat of a pen and stationery snob (okay, hoarder...). I bought the amazon pack of colored pens and I love them for my Bible study color coding. Cheap, but they write great and work well in my new NKJV.
Ok, also, I do enjoy marking in my bible, but when someone colors over the text, which I'm not accusing ANY ONE !!!!!!!, It takes away from the WORD . But this is Amercia, and we have the freedom, for now, to write in our BIBLES. GOD bless you Jason. Read on!!!!!!!
I have a beautiful coloring Bible. It has many pages throughout you can color and it has all kinds of photos on the edges to color. So I've been looking for markers to color these pictures in this Bible. That don't BLEED. I already gave some no bleed high lighters, but looking for ALL colors to color the beautiful pictures in it
Those pages in that bible seem a lil on the extra thin side, but yes! Sharpie Art Pens are sooo good! The first pens I tried (Microns are too expensive) and no bleed through, smears or anything! Unless I go over something already written, and that's very seldom so no biggie.
I was going to start bible journaling, and mentioned it to my wife. Love the ESV translation as my go to, and I got the illuminated one as a present. I feel so awed. I’ve never had a journaling bible, let alone a piece of art like this. Have you seen it? Any advise on how to approach journaling in a beautiful book like this? I’ve seen your journaling system advise, but it’s hard to actually bring myself to start writing in it :)
I got that bible for my birthday and had to buy myself a different one because I couldn’t bring myself to write in it! The new one is equally beautiful but I think the trick is to just go for it - it’s your journey with God and the bible will be even more precious and beautiful once your thoughts, studies and art are in it.
Yeah, the sharpie pen stylos (no bleed) and art pens are the same things, just a different body. I grab mine on amazon, but I've seen them at target and walmart too. Who would have thought sharpies in a bible would be awesome?!?
Grace For Life TV Wal Mart?! I'll have to check it out! I went to an art supply store today & they never heard of them😮! They didn't have the uniball Jetstream pens either. I did get some cool Staedtler gel highlighters though, sorta like wax but it's not, to try in my journaling bible when I get it soon 😛👍
Just for clarification bruh, what you are referring to in writing terms is shadowing not bleed through. Bleed through is when there is a dark spot on the next page or more. Shadowing is when you can see what was written but ink doesn't transfer.
Karen Wasson that doesn’t tell us how it interacts with the text on the page.. But, this is actually what the Bible was purchased for, she got it after the fact. I only do the middle chapters in Job, so she’s fine. Besides, she draws pictures in there when you reads (bible art)... so I got this! 😉
Hey mate! Have you tried using the gel highlighters? I have ordered a small pack so hopefully they are ok.. if not may have to look at those zebra ones
Swanson driliter are my favorite highlighters. Not at all good for writing, but I do not use highlighters to write in my Bible. Thanks for the video! Swanson Christian Supply 41351... www.amazon.com/dp/B00PWU1P4S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
mars81700 hahaha I asked because I said in the video that this is my 8 year old daughter’s Bible. There’s nothing wrong with Job, but it’s obviously above her comprehension level.
I'm not sure if you are still trying out different pens, but I've seen people mention Micron PN pens. They have the same ink as regular Microns, but it has a plastic nib instead of the fineliner nib.
MeWho someone actually just recommended these to me! I want to get some to try, because as nice as the fine tips on the microns are, they don’t seem to last long.
I don't say the book of Job is wrong, I say the majority is. @@myisha_kellice2550 I specifically said "Middle of Job" and "The Lord will rebuke them for it." Job 42:7-17 The Lord Rebukes Job's Friends 7 After the Lord had spoken these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. 8 Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did what the Lord had told them, and the Lord accepted Job's prayer. "for you have not spoken of me what is right" is really important... now go look through Job and see how often his friends are talking... about half of the middle is them talking.
@@TearUpYourBible oh okay. So you were saying that what his friends were speaking about God was incorrect? So people have misinterpreted what you said (including me) about what you said. Thankyou very much for replying. Now I understand. Hope you have a lovely day. God bless ❤️

Love my sharpie pens all the time. Including in my bible.
For highlighter, look for "Bible highlighter" on Amazon. Most people use Accu-Gel Bible Highlighter, which has no bleed-through and color is bright.

I just ordered those Sharpie Art Pens 16 pack from Amazon after seeing your video. Thanks
How are them? Are they bleeding/shining through?
I looked up the Sharpie Art pens on amazon. They are acid free / archival pens so that's a plus :)
Jetstreams are the smoothest pens I’ve ever written with. Like you said, effortless.
I use to ONLY use jetstreams. They really are a fantastic pen.
I had never heard of them but will check them out! TFS both of you 🙏🏻😇
