- Colorist Jason Bowdach uses Beauty Box and Adobe After Effects to retouch commercial work. The key to good beauty work is to keep the retouching looking natural. Jason makes use of Beauty Box and masks from Mocha to apply digital makeup selectively to specific areas.
Beauty Box Video is the industry leading plugin for doing high quality retouching and beauty work. Jason uses After Effects and Mocha in this tutorial, but the techniques can be applied in FCP, Avid, After Effects, Resolve or many other host applications. Here's the link to the free trial:

Finally! Someone doing it right! Way too many tutorials that have you just clone over the problem areas, which totally doesn't work well when the subject experiences different lighting environments throughout the video. Thank you!

great tutorial! thank you!
this is what i have been found. finally i got it. thanks so much.
thanks man
so what is the difference with using just blur?
I'm having trouble with the new After Effects and Beauty Box. I'm unable to "export shape data", instead I must "create track data" then export option and apply export. Yet when I do this, the screen turns black and I'm stuck as to where I should go. Is there a help guide with the new After Effects?

hi, where can I download this footage? I want to practice with it so I can follow along. footage link, please? appreciated.
Hi there! We have some footage available for download here: digitalanarchy.com/beautyVID/tutes.html
these videos are so useful but jason talks so slowly i have to watch them at 2x every time :)
Thanks for the tip. I speak a bit faster in my more recent training videos :)
Something comparable for voice would be very useful.
To turn a normal voice into a narrator voice.
I uninstalled youtube, how do I watch the video
You should be able to watch it in your browser. You don't need the app. You can also view it on our website at: digitalanarchy.com/beautyVID/tutes.html#t19
Maybe work on losing the "go ahead." Makes it very difficult to listen to the tutorial. :)
