Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite restaurant dishes growing up (along with Honey Walnut Shrimp). Brings back fond childhood memories with my Aunties taking me to their local Chinese American restaurants after Sunday church. Thanks for the vid. Will give it a try! Hello from San Francisco.

I really appreciate how simple you make this Mongolian beef dish. Last week, I bought a chunk of beef from Costco, cut it into slices, and froze them in bags. It's perfect for this recipe. I plan to try it either today or tomorrow. One modification though: I'm going to use the leftover starch from coating the meat to thicken the sauce. No waste, tasty, and it will leave me satisfied.

If I have leftover dredge I put it in a ziploc bag and label it and put it in the freezer for next time.

Thank you Flo and Dude. One thing I also often do with beef stir fries is marinate with sine baking soda to tenderize. More oft when I slice a little thicker. Probably not needed when sliced as thin as you have here.

I have unattainably high standards when it comes to chefs, food, recipes and restaurants. To give you an example, of the hundreds of restaurants around the world at which I’ve eaten, the only restaurant I even half-way think is decent is Le Meurice.
With that said, Flo is an excellent cook. Excellent! Happy Holidays & keep up the quality work.

On the UA-cam Channel "Made With Lau", after slicing the beef in the same manner, he washes the beef to remove the hemoglobin, then adds baking soda to a marinade.
Then, he makes the sauce, but does not use the marinade in it. He also uses flank steak.
Do you have any comments on Chef Lau's variation?

    • @FloLum
