Great job, what a mess. Clean up is going to take a long, long time. We've been there and the smell is unforgettable. Glad it's you and not me.Ha ha. Take care Trent, see you later.
had your work cut out for you there Trent! I dont envy the maths you had to do in your head working out the weight of the suction and what rigging was needed! just shows how difficult the job can be and that you never know what you are going to be called out for! it's not like you can plan for this on a training day!!
I always thought that attaching the cables to the track pads might pull the excavator out. A half dozen split grousers that clamp to the edges of the track pads could be handy too.
Trent next time if you can rent 3 roughly 80,000 pound dozers with winches there low speed high power torque is what you need the extra 30,000-35,000 pounds of weight per dozer breaks the suction with the extra counter weight
When they're buried in that deep and at an angle like that Volvo, the only way to get them is by digging them level. I'm surprised the Deere came out as easy as it did after 2 weeks in the silt.
Nice video Trent, good luck on the second excavator, looking forward for that video! BTW did you have that talk to your college, he acted like he was under influence of something.. .Nevertheless you got it out in a very nice and safe controlled way. Thumps up!
I can’t even imagine how much money this whole mess cost the customer. Not only the tow company bill, but the mechanic and parts, building the road, and equipment rental. I assume the equipment was rented.
What idoit of a manager/supervisor would have these employees work in this type of terain? Their lucky that they didn't bury the equipment completly. This is going to cost big.
Sean is the man of the hour.
Nice to see an operator really understand how to help
Geez talk about captivating! Well done to all of you including Shaun!
Thumbs up to you and your Team, Trent. Great operator in Sean there, too. What a heck of a job. Well done!!

Great Job!, The man in the John Deere is in the line of fire from a lot of tension, if smth breaks he's not safe!!
Great job guys.
Thank you, Sophie!😀
Salt corroding steel (and everything else), welcome to Michigan.
This was not wanting to give up on a whole other level! What a job!! Will the recovery of the Volvo be a video as well?
the caption at the end said the customer was able to get the Volvo out on his own.
That was one sticky and stinky mess. Good job Trent and the Plaza towing crews plus Shawn driving it out. Next plan how to get the Volvo out!
At the very end it says that the customer was able to get the Volvo out.
@@kempo_95 Ah, that's hard to read when watching on desktop with the recommended videos coving the screen.
Anchor for two trucks would have been good too. Nice job
Nice work, with the right tools and experience anything is possible.

Waiting for the next installment...
No gold but it's a lithium mine I'd really think about cleaning or soaking cables in baking soda or something
What a sticky medss. You should called Dave Sparks for this one. He has done it a few times on the salt flats. :)
Good Job.

Whoever would have even allowed the machines to go onto that ground? Somebody wasn't thinking.
Tow Life!
My mother in law used to live at Bombay Beach before it got bad
Extend your boom out to remove weight from the front axle
Would have been negligible
Wouldn't do a whole lot and youd be putting weight on the drives, sinking the drives is even worse than sinking the steers.
I grew up in Bombay.....and SUNK a Motorcycle or Two in that wretched stench Mud!!
Old but still a good video.
What in curious about... There must be something worthwhile to risk those machines out in that muck.... What it it?
They were working on an art installation for a festival they host out there
keep the clips coming
❤

That’s just how we act. We are goofballs.
mudy job will done
Was there a reason for not having the bucket push down in front of him to help lift the machine up?
Great content is this video. Definitely gonna have a smell.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Wy dont you call Letsdig18.

Shaun/John did not get a set of headphones 🤣
That is one expensive oops
I'd hate to get that bill in the mail!
Don’t they make hd helos that can literally pick those machines up?
ah the earth recycles on it's own no intervention needed.
Dosent your dad help you now has he retired
I hope they paid you guys alot.
Lmfaoooo customer has no choice in how much they pay 😂 what kind of work do you do that the customer decides prices?? 😂😂😂😂
Sure would hate to pay the bill on this job
Man what a sucky job
