Well, he is fairly new and playing somewhat niche games so it's going to take a while to gether a larger community. That doesn’t mean he should start playing the current hot games - that would not be fun for him in the long run (giving him fatigue and us a less enjoyable time) plus the viewers would mostly disappear as the hype dies down, which would cripple his channel growth in the long run. So...patience and maybe the occasional cooperation with similarly sized youtubers would probably be the best growth strategy.

I discovered your channel yesterday, immediately subbed. I truly love the Icarus series. And your editing is just awesome. I mean, the chopping sounds on the beat of the music, echo on the voice when in a cave, or muffled sound under water. The building montages (makes me think of the A-team when they had the building montages) and the length of the episodes. Best channel I discovered in a long time. Keep up the good work!
Hey. Great video. Not sure if you're aware already but with regards to talents, when you spend points in each category, you fill the bar at the top. each time you spend 4 points, it ranks up, and you need the relevant ranks to be able to select the bottom talents. That's why you couldn't get the +1 stomach space buff when you put a point into gathering guru. The ranks are beside each perk picture to give you an indiciation.

I just like how you play and its honestly very meditative for me. You are so positive and goal focused, it makes your posts so enjoyable. Anyway... just wanted to give you some upvote...keep posting! You may want to invest in a deep ore drill. You can power it with your water wheel and once the drill is on a node it fills up in 4 or 5 hours and and provides 500 ore when full
Excellent episode, love the upgrades to the base. Don't forget to grab the loot in the lost mission house after you repair it. There is a crate that contains some decent stuff, I have found anything from steel tools to shotguns. Keep up the episodes - looking forward to the next one.
I rate you should've left the original raw log porch and balcony with upgraded railing. it puts a nice outdoor boarder around the house. sharp corners from upgraded wood doesn't compliment the roundedness of the stone
The Enzyme geyser is hell. If you activate an Enzyme Extractor you will be attacked by a wolf horde, then a Jaguar horde and finally a Bear horde. All 3 hordes also include Alphas. You can get Enzymes by doing the SMPLE pod missions. They are sometimes given as a reward.
Those bears are delicious 😏👍🏼 cook em 🤣 I think you can have a pole or a stand you hang the animals chopped heads on.. I don’t remember exactly what’s the name of that built. It would be like a trophy room. 😎👍🏼

oh aliens are coming to Icarus too ;) and from what i understand, a new map too.... which not sure if the aliens are going to be on the open game or just limited to the quest only section of the game as for power, there are advantages and disadvantages to each Solar = good power level, but only during the day... Generator = great for as long as you have biofuel Water Wheel = constant power, 24/7... but the caveat is.... they need to be cleaned as they collect junk within them, which stops you from generating power... from what i understand 'Batteries' will be coming to Icarus, but until then the only viable power generation is a combination set up.... water wheels, with generator as a back up source for while you are cleaning out the wheels... although Solar is a free source of power, which if you make those and leave that for day use, to give a boost to the wheels for extra industrial tasks that require power.... but rely on the generator as a back up for night time or times when the other 2 sources do not function properly cost though is going to be a pain, however once you have power nailed down and a water pump set up, along with a good source of constant resource collection you should be ok for those electronics and resource costs also a water pump connection to the greenhouse will help with the plants/food... think it's more a case of they didn't have sufficient water which caused them to die, a water connection will negate that from what i understand also from what i think i understand is that the heads can be used to craft statues of their respective types.... so bear head = bear statue, or bear trophy and before i edit my comment too many times lol awesome design and layout of the house too :) really come on well, and between yourself and another couple of people i follow, of which i think you might find helpful with what you can do and for build ideas etc... I will link their icarus series for you on your discord, if that's ok ? cos there is a way of doing a free placement of blocks, walls, floors etc... which can help with more unique build ideas too anyways thanks for another awesome video BlondeDon :) always refreshing and awe inspiring to see what you make, and those montages are epic... always make me sit up and take note and not to mention appreciate the level of art and work that goes into each episode :) thanks again :)

you are always welcome @@BlondeDon and i believe the moment they introduce battery storage into Icarus, it would give you the ability to utilise more progression when choosing which option to go for... i mean for example starting out, water wheels would be a good start, until you can build solar or generators... then as one is more situated the less useful could be recycled and phased out but the moment you can make Batteries, i would say the solar would be more a primary choice with generators as more of an "in case of emergency" type of back up... as Solar through the day will charge however man batteries you'll have depending on how many they can charge fully... and if you have any emergency batteries which can be stored safely without any degradation that may improve your power situation a lot.... but i think if they ever add in Nuclear power that could be another good tech choice to have thanks again for another awesome video :) and i look forward to the next one :)

The Cabin on the Lake is really coming along! I didn't know this game had so many decorations available. I wonder... if the living area were outside the bed room, would leaving the bedroom door open make you close enough to the fire place to sleep in the bed? That way you wouldn't have to mess with the aesthetics of the bedroom by adding a random campfire. Just a thought, I have never played this game before so I don't know how the mechanics work.
Oh there's so many decorations I haven't even touched yet! I can try leaving the door open. But there is a brazier that I unlocked that might look okay in the room. But, it's not a big room right now so I don't know if there's space for it just yet

When you said that you were going to make a bedroom i thought that you were finally build on another island and make it as a working warehouse like it was the inicial plan. Im not found of having this good looking house and still use it as a working place, i think it defeats the whole purpose the amount of work you are puting into it and you dont even have an open space kitchen with a kitchen island hahah lol. Also i think that balcony would look better if you put the stone beams instead the interior one and stone floors on the entrance. Keep up the good work see you next video !

Your base and the greenhouse look great. It’s a pity there’s no Mike like character in this game as there is in the infected. Having someone to do the work with the crops for you would be a huge benefit. I wonder how many more of your crops will die because you forget to harvest them in time. To be fair, it must be very difficult to keep track of that when you have so many other things to do.
I keep thinking how nice it would be to have a Mike every time I go out to the greenhouse lol. Aaaand, there will probably be a lot of dead crops in my future 😅

Upgrade to stone as soon as you're able to in order to save time on repairing after storms. I love the bow, so I focus a lot of my talent points into upgrading that. So I run faster while holding it, it's more accurate, I can shoot it faster, etc. But ultimately a lot of the fun of this game is discovering what works best for you!

I guess when I refer to the biomes, I'm talking about just the forested, snow and desert areas. Within each of those areas is different regions. There's a wiki somewhere that labels them all
You just need the upgraded piece in your inventory, then pull out your repair hammer and hold R to select the building type and then just Right Click on the piece you want to upgrade

The plants will wither in the crop plots unless you have the talent to prevent it (Fresh is Best). It's near the bottom of the farming talent tree.

There is a BP for a watering can. Waters multiple plots at once. Really helps.
You can gain an extra stomach space via the attachments bench. It's an attachment to your armour.
If you build a trophy bench, you can make wall mounts with the heads.

Upgrade to stone as soon as you're able to in order to save time on repairing after storms. I love the bow, so I focus a lot of my talent points into upgrading that. So I run faster while holding it, it's more accurate, I can shoot it faster, etc. But ultimately a lot of the fun of this game is discovering what works best for you!

Also you're talking like there's 3 biomrs, no there's 19(!) according to the Steam achievements. I assume split on the two maps, but still, alot more than 3! And I have discovered three apparently, but I know I haven't officially been to the desert. So that's weird?
I guess when I refer to the biomes, I'm talking about just the forested, snow and desert areas. Within each of those areas is different regions. There's a wiki somewhere that labels them all

How do you shange things so fast? like you did the stairs with 1 movement
You just need the upgraded piece in your inventory, then pull out your repair hammer and hold R to select the building type and then just Right Click on the piece you want to upgrade

What are these window hatches?. I found them when I first played game when it came out, but now I can’t seem to find them???.
They're just labeled as Windows I believe. But you may need to unlock them in the tech tree first
