Too Tired To Wait For Love: That song was so apt for the times it really was and if you were around in those days listening to Tank and Motorhead you probably know exactly what I mean! This album was probably my and a lot of my old mates favourite Tank album up to 84 at least. We had been cranking Tank for at least 2 years up to this album being released. Algy Ward one of my fave Bassists. Listen to Liar from The Damned's Machine Gun Etiquette LP or just crank the entire album for some pre Tank Algy Ward bass ingenuity!

Honour & Blood (December 1984 Music For Nations) is the fourth album by the British heavy metal band Tank, released in 1984. By the time of this album Algy Ward (Vocals-Bass) was the last original member of the group remaining, as the Brabbs brothers had been replaced by Cliff Evans on guitar and Graeme Crallan on drums (reuniting Crallan with his former bandmate in White Spirit, Mick Tucker). The album follows much the same format as the band's previous album This Means War, with seven songs, several quite lengthy, of melodic heavy metal primarily about the topic of war. However, the band explores some different subject matter on side two, as "W.M.L.A." and "Too Tired to Wait for Love", express frustration in love, while "Chain of Fools" is a cover of the 1967 hit by Aretha Franklin.

New wave kicks ass there's no doubt about it but what about American thrash bands? Overkill, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies??? Brits certainly invented metal, and this is all legendary stuff but don't forget that there's no thrash without American bands
