The CG makes me feel like its a Final Fantasy game where the Anime makes me feel like its a Tales game. I am playing Tales of Hearts R right now and I am glad its Anime scenes not CG. Also, don't get me wrong, I love Final Fantasy, even the latest ones, but I want Tales to be Tales and Final Fantasy to be Final Fantasy.
Either way I'm glad we got Tales of Hearts R it feels more complete and normally I'd say CGI but when it comes to Tales of games it just has to be anime for me 😄
It wouldn't be a proper Tales of- game without the anime cutscenes anyway, but it's cool to see that they actually bother about the series enough to do this.
there were a grand total of two anime cutscenes in Tales of Symphonia (excluding the opening); the style of two in-game movies hardly affects the quantity. I'm more worried about the sprites. Hopefully there won't be any slowdowns to reduce the great Tales gameplay.

@ChannelMii No, if the cutscenes were like Final Fantasy the CGI cutscenes would actually look good! The CGI version is a joke, just stick with the anime style.

NGL,the CGI actually pretty good. But yeah Tales series are fit more with Anime. And we end up with Anime CGI anyway.

I'm sure Tales of Arise could have had a CGI opening a la Kuro no Kiseki and I don't think anyone would have complained.
Occasional crossover is nice sometimes...
