  • How did Mark Zuckerberg turn Facebook into Meta? Why does he think open source is the future of AI? And how has he maintained a Minus One mindset at his founder-led company? SPC Partners (and early Facebook employees) Ruchi Sanghvi and Aditya Agarwal interviewed Mark at SPC-SF to get the candid answers. Listen for a deep dive into how the early Facebook team operated, how Mark has kept his company at the cutting edge of innovation, and why the most important variable of success is the people you build with.

    I don't buy the idea that big companies are at a disadvantage in the AI world just because they're, well, big. Things have changed a lot since the early days of companies like Facebook. These days, everyone's jumping on the AI bandwagon way more enthusiastically than they did with previous tech shifts. So, I think Mark's moves towards open-source are great. They're giving startups a real shot at competing. Kudos to Mark.

    Mark Zuckerberg resonates with me on multiple levels. As fellow millennials born in May, I feel a connection that goes beyond our shared birth month. From connecting the world to building a global platform, he's someone I admire deeply. Interestingly, we even share a similar hairline-a detail I don't often mention, but one that feels significant in the parallel I see between us.
    Where he succeeded in launching Facebook, I see myself as the opposite version-the one who has tried and failed but remains determined. After three attempts, I'm gearing up to start my fourth company, but this time, I'm considering a different path. I want to go back to the roots, work at Meta as a software developer, and maybe, just maybe, I'll recruit some colleagues and build something extraordinary, much like the founders of WhatsApp did.
    This was an incredible interview with Mark Zuckerberg at South Park Commons. I truly appreciate the opportunity to hear his insights and connect on such meaningful topics. Thanks to everyone involved for making this conversation possible!

      Thanks for dropping this epic comment! I highly recommend you change your name to "Zuck," start training MMA like a champ, and then adopt a Llama from the shelter (because every tech mogul needs a fluffy sidekick). After that, jet off to China, find a stunning partner, and launch "Nosebook." Get a billion users, and boom-you're living the dream! Happily ever after, right?

    • @inquisition3000
      @inquisition3000 Місяць тому

      AI content on Facebook is actually pretty great.
      makes your feed more interesting by showing you stuff you actually care about. Plus, it can create posts on all kinds of topics, even ones you might not usually see. awesome for discovering new things
      small businesses love it too - they can keep their pages active without having to work around the clock. It's also a big win for accessibility.
      One of the coolest features is how it breaks down language barriers. You can interact with posts from all over the world because its auto-translated at time of creation.
      Also think about the new types of content it can create. We're talking about interactive posts, stuff we haven't even imagined yet. It's pushing the boundaries of what's possible on social media.
      AI content is making the platform more personalized, diverse, and innovative.

  • @chrisfarrell9894
    @chrisfarrell9894 9 днів тому

    I'm amazed that he was so far ahead of the rest of us. I thought he'd lost his freaking mind when he changed Facebook to Meta and invested so much into the virtual reality headsets.
    For the sake of argument, let us assume he's taken the path that will put him ahead of the other A.I. companies and in 5 years his investment pays off in hundreds of billions..., dare I use the word (?) trillions!
    At that point, Zuckerberg's inclinations towards Fascist control worry me.
    I do appreciate he wrote a confession for interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election, but I think he did that in an attempt to get out in front of the prosecutions that will be coming if Donald Trump is the POTUS in January of '25.
    I worry that Zuckerberg will use his power, should his A.I. glasses propel mankind to another technological level we can only now imagine, with which he will be more inclined to advocate and finance in various ways a Communist China-like tyranny over societies including the American experiment.
