You mentioned that you were ashamed of showing that you were a bartender in addition to an artist on youtube, but I also want to say that you being open about how you worked another day job really made me feel so much better about my process and the things I had to do to support myself. I make paintings whenever I can, but I still have a day job, and sometimes I felt like I wasn't a 'real' artist because I had another source of income that paid my bills, etc. But you made me realize that it's completely normal and valid to work other jobs, that it's a reality for a lot of artists out there and there was no reason to be ashamed for doing what you can to make ends meet. That was super important to me.

Life is nonsense with art: more work than others for not that much money/interest + pay for your advertisment...
We don't all start with the same capital, and the way you had/'ll start mean a lot, don't be ashamed.

I am experiencing synchronicity here. This video has literally popped up during a transition time for me. I was always into art. Even as a little girl my earliest memories are of my late mother handing me children’s watercolor and my big brother teaching me to draw things I couldn’t break down myself. I have decided to take a leap of faith to return to myself. From journalist to artist again 💜

This was actually super helpful Caro! You breaking down the starting out is so valuable... There is plenty here for me to do, in taking those first steps to an art career instead of just selling pieces here and there (because I know I want a career). I have to say, I wish you would do your own course for other artists around launching and developing, social sharing etc! I love your videos and the energy you present.

I'm a poet and I'm in the process of trying to support myself only with my creations, and part of me felt ashamed too of not being able still to just live with the money I gain with my art, so seeing your story inspired me to trust myself and be more gentle, I'm still in this beautiful journey and someday soon I'll have enough to live the life I want too. I feel the same, it is challenging to be an artist have a job and run an art business at the same time. Lets hope we can just be artists very soon.

Thanks for sharing your journey and process of sale. This really helps emerging artists. I started selling my art within 3 months of starting but since i was still discovering my style i gave up on pushing for sales and took time out to narrow down on my originality. I dont regret it and yes, i also have a full time job to support me while i experiment with my art.

This is inspiring! Painting has been a hobby of mine since I was a child. I never thought to try to see if I could do it professionally. The medium I work in right now is Acryllic and I like to paint on medium-sized canvas. This is giving me a lot to think about. Thank you so much.

It would be great if you could share something about pricing, as to how do you decide the cost of your artwork maybe depending upon the size of the work, time, the original one or print. This is the area where I struggle the most. It would be great if you could throw some light on it 🙏

Hi, congratulation. I'm trying to find my way too with my paintings. When you suggest to prepare some pieces to be ready to ship, may I ask you how do You print them? You scan them and then print, you picture and print.... How do you Do to riproduce them in a good way? Thank you

Hi Caro, I paint on canvas and since I've watched your videos I wonder what's the material you paint on? I'd like to use the material so that it's easier to scan, versus just paiting on canvas...not everyone likes canvas art. Hope to hear from you soon. What type of camera do you use to film and photograph your artwork and process?
