- Angelina Jordan recorded Smile (by Charlie Chaplin) for the newly released documentary by the same name, in which the life of the late Norwegian "Godfather of Poker" Thor Hansen is depicted. Angelina Jordans Uncle is apparently interested in poker and the song Smile is reportedly important for Angelina Jordan. I am a mess right now. Even though this song is titled "Smile", I cry every time I hear it. But now, hearing Angelina's version, I am sitting here like a blubbering idiot because this is the most beautiful, emotional, heart-tugging version of it I have ever heard. As much as I would love to hear her do a complete recording of it, I don't know if I could stand it. Can something be so beautiful that it is too much to bear??

Had no idea Chsplin wrote the melody. For me, it's always been the lyrics (penned in 1954) that touch me. The best in my opinion was the first, by Nat King Cole.....until now. Angelina once again beautifully breaths new life into a classic. I'm smiling through my tears.

Thanks PO. To me this is like digging in your backyard & finding a valuable gem. I really didn't focus on the video, for the song & the way she sung the CC piece was just so amazing. Again Angie, Angelinalized it & it became her's. Could you imagine Angie Singing anything by Sade or Lauren Daigle or the song "Hallelujah" I bet she would knock any of it out of the park. =)

This is one of my favorite songs. I remember MJ singing this with his children in hand. Angelina’s song bring tears to my eyes. This is fantastic. Outdoor like to see some reactions to this short song.

Ok, we saw a snippet of her recording this last spring (ua-cam.com/video/Ov9ybCwL6FQ/v-deo.html). I wondered why we never saw/heard anything else about it. And, great to see that Egil is still working with her.

Egil and Angelina have been very close friends since the very beginning of Angelina´s career. Due to covid -19, they have not met each other for a long time. Egil lives in Norway and Angelina lives in LA. But I´m sure they will make more music together as soon as it´s possible ;-)

Good for you for finding this great Chaplin song by Angelina. It was a delight. However, don't be defensive as to the fact that the video focuses on poker. It is about Thor Hansen who was a revered Norwegain champion poker player and aficionado as you may know. Angelina's performance was is a tribute. Tack
