what brand creatine do you use?
@datogadelia brand doesn't matter. Just use a pure creatine monohydrate. I use Bulk Nutrients, which is an Australian brand that uses GMO free products and naturally bred whey.
you don't need to cycle it. It is naturally occuring in red meat and produced in your body. Just take 0.03 g/kg/day. You should only avoid it if you have kidney or liver disease or any other disease that gets worsened by it.
Why were you cycling off creatine anyway? There's no need to cycle it and cycling only causes you to lose the benefits of it while cycling off. You don't build tolerance to it like caffeine and it's not a steroid.

Been taking it for five years (with a few short breaks) and hair is as thick as it was when I started.
drink lots of water on creatine. keep it flushing through your kidneys and get plenty of pottasium
U need to drink a lot of water because creatine results in more water retention in the muscles leading to dehydration if you don’t drink an adequate amount plus ur missing out on size because muscle is mostly comprised of water.
You have to increase your water consumption compared to what you had before taking creatine. Creatine causes water retention in muscle cells so a part of your daily intake goes there, that's probably why you feel a bit dehydrated.
@@commandocluck yeah but the video said no to water retention and no to dehydration. Why?

One concern I do have about it is if you want to get off of it for whatever reason after being on it for a long period of time, how well does the body's natural creatine production bounce back
You’re body doesn’t necessarily produce it on its own, creatine is stored in your body in another form produced by creatine from youre daily diet like red meats. Creatine powder is just concentrated to allow more of that storage in your body. Is an energy source essentially, it doesn’t just get created from your body. Like it does but if you didn’t have creatine in your diet to begin with you’d be stick skinny
Most of the products aimed at bodybuilders are either already present in the food they consume but could be used to supplement if they can't get enough daily or straight up placebo.
1-2 second pause reps up to 5-7 seconds on creatine. Do working on bench 30min, 30min other stuff, go home, go on with my day after benching around say 155lb.

@@OneTwoThreeThePWell, no one in my bloodline is balding, even my grandfather had hair at 86. But I am balding at 24, so, you cannot decide from your bloodline alone
@@sigma8519 Absolutely, but it is a very relevant indication. The lifestyle, diet and intake of supplements can obviously influence this additionally.
I have been training a lot for years, in the strength and endurance area, supplementing various food supplements - but Creatin has made it unmistakably clear to me what price I have to pay for the increase in performance. For me it is no longer worth it.
Are you saying it does not increase DHT? Hair loss/thinning is a real thing with creatine use.
it increases it by a *significant* amount, one study found. Now consider what that actually means, because the results were *statistically* significant, but far from having any physiological effect. Many here say it thinned their hair, with no knowledge of if it actually did besides correlation and believing things they see on the internet more than they probably should
@@justalonelypotetothe study had higher doses than most take but dht is likely increased anyway. Dht from what I've heard doesn't cause hairloss but can speed up the predisposed. Dht is also what causes teens Johnsons to grow so it is an important hormone
Subbed!
I love it when science tells it as it is
I gain 7-9 pounds of water weight, takes about a month to lose. Saturates your muscles with water so you can lift/perform more.
Sure does
Can you describe why we would need to supplement, and can you be deficient?
you don’t need to buy there’s a lot of benefits like, increase in muscle mass, and boost in strength, because it allows water to easily flow to the muscles which can help the recovery process, no you can’t be deficient, your body naturally makes it but not enough to get all the benefits of creatine
On my blood test potassium and creatine were my only low numbers.
Creatine very low, I've been taking it with no issues.
@@Petesworkshop2225creatine doesnt show up in traditional blood panels. creatinine is not the same thing
@@demonic_glitches4927 Zero increase in muscle mass, I don't lift any better using it for first time now. It way zooms up my energy for heavy lifting to do more and not tired at all after. That is the amazing effect. Using it 2 weeks now, still losing weight taking protein shakes instead of eating and working out.
I've read up on the hair loss from creatine and there are some studies that show if you have male pattern baldness, it can significantly accelerate it, also speak from experience and no longer take it.
That’s one of the reasons I’m scared of taking creatine. But when I need more gains I might consider.
Best of luck with the gains mate, would defo investigate it a bit more just incase I'm wrong but the studies I read a while back were pretty convincing. You can still get good gains without it, just takes a bit longer, I eat a lot of steak which has small amounts of natural creatine, who knows how effective it is but might be worth considering as an alternative
thats the keyword there is accelerate it, not cause it. There are so many factors to hair loss that you cannot just say its creatine. If you experience hair loss take finasteride works great for me got long flowing hair.
@KW-ng8nd yeah I take finasteride aswell mate. But yeah I do think creatine accelerates it if you have male pattern baldness, as you say it's not the root cause of hair loss tho
Hello, i just a quick question. I am able to manage to work out just 3 days a week, can i still consume the monohydrate creatine.
Yes you can!
It raises.dht so it accelerates male pattern baldness. But if you good genetics dont worry
It does not raise DHT. There are no research papers to support this claim. We reviewed this in the full length video
I've noticed many ppl comment stories of shedding and then going back to normal once stopping. There are many variables but it ties to a variable that causes hair loss.
I get really bad hairloss whenever I start it@@TalkingWithDocs
Having use creatine on/off for a decade,
1. It does cause water retention, which leads to point 2...
2. It does cause dehydration if you either take too much at once or not drink enough water.
I mean one of the claims of creating is muscle size increase, it does this by making you cells retain a bit more water, ergo, water retention. And since it does that then logically you would need to drink a bit more water and if not, logically you would get a bit dehydrated.
Pro tip: Stay away from tik tok doctors, in every class there must be some poor performers who barely passed, tik tok doctors are them.
So h mean to tell u u get dehydrated when u don't drink enought water??? Shocker 🤯🤯🤯. Who would have guessed that not drinking enough water would lead to dehydration.
Creatine is the most studied supplement in the bodybuilding world and it is 100 % safe and effective.
It will help perfomance in the gym, it isnt even debatable. People temd to gaun ariund 2-5 lbs due to water retention but after the supplenet has saturated in ur system it will definitleg help with performance and muscle building.
@@ramonlgarcia9036 what the point of you telling me thus, I obviously know what creatine does, I clearly said I've been taking it for a decade. You seem too eager to reply that you do even read or are mentally inept.
You're the type to offer 10 amazing facts about ice to Eskimos aren't you. You sound like you have dad issues, he never acknowledged you so you became an adult who tries too hard.
Find a therapist, preferably one who had experience with children.
Two weeks 2.5g/day, now at 5g/day couple days. Effect on drinking water? Zero. Water retention, gain weight? No, still losing weight. Down another couple pounds. Arms bigger? We shall see, but unlikely, not so far. As for comment about doctor quality, lots of UA-cam vids summarizing vast research on creatine, and their comments are exactly what those paper summaries are saying.
@@ramonlgarcia9036 I got dehydrated when i started taking creatine so i had to start drinking more water than i used to. My weight went up 1.5kg in a week aswell.😮😮
@JormaE everyone who takes creatine gains weight because of the fact that creatine will cause water retention.
And u need to hydrate. If creatine is causing u to dehydrate, u probably weren't drinking enough water before it.
But I personally don't get how any human, in a first world country, gets dehydrated unless it's intentionally done to get to diblge digit body fat.
I guess I just don't understand how people aren't regularly drinking water throughout the day. I drink about 20pujces of water per hour all day. I take creatine, have been for 15 years, pre workouts, pump formulas, and I've never been dehydrated. Neither have my friends and family.
You don’t have to take supplements, it is naturally occurring in red meat
It is, but the amount us very tiny. In 1 kilo of red meat there's 2 gramms of creatine. And since it is inside the meat your body wont "absorb" all of it. Considering you body can store like 3-5 gramms of extra creatine. You'd have to eat a whole cow per week to fill your creatine reserves.
