My last big dog was a golden retriever. He loved going to the vet, since he thought everyone was there to give him attention 😊 He loved to greet everyone he saw!
Same as mine who was a spaniel mixed breed cute pup delivered tp me as 3 months old starving, emaciated, terrified pup for foster care. He never left!!😊
my girl bichon clings so tightly. my boy I had for 16 yrs at 12 lbs could pull me away from the Vets office. and everyone is always so good with them. my boy I could get him interested in other things around, my girl she just clings. my boy was impressively smart, learned words on flash cards. my girl is still young. my excuse.
I so admire all of these sweethearts who really, really hate what’s going on but still don’t try to bite or get aggressive. Most dogs are so wonderful.
Someone walks into the vet for the first time “what’s that screaming it sounds like someone is dying” the receptionist “oh don’t worry it’s just a husky he’s a regular he always does this”😂
My dog just completely freezes at the vet when doing anything. As if she thinks “if I don’t move, no one can see me!” And she’s confident this strategy works, and it kinda does. Because everyone gets their job completed much more effectively, when she enters her mind palace.
My dog does something weird too. We go to a walk in vet clinic inside a pet store and while we are in line he’s great. Even walking in the office doors he’s fine but the moment he gets fully in he tries to hide underneath the bench. He’s still a good boy and allows the vets to do whatever they need to do without a single protest
My dog used to do this too! She was totally fine walking into the clinic or groomers, but the moment she understood where she was, she would paw and whine at me and hide in whatever spot she could get to.
i have a drama husky at the vets. early on we realized that she acted much better with these visits when i was not in the room. "they're killing me daddy" hahaha
I've always hated needles (childhood trauma) and avoid them if it's at all possible. People actually think it's FUNNY when dogs hate going to the vet, which is probably because they were mistreated there the last time. Vets need to do better.
I soooo relate … !! I fear injections, and every time my fur babies have to get an injection, I know the feeling .. we appreciate all the vets and doctors, for being very patient with us 😂
Our little British lab LOVES the vet. She’s so excited to be around people, she doesn’t even care. She’s happy to go in and greet her vet like they’re her best friends. Least that’s one thing we don’t have to worry about!
Oh poor babies!!! 🙁 Being someone that HATES going to the doc……I totally can relate. My sweet puppydogs didn’t like it either but they were so excited to see the staff that they cooperated. They’re all such sweet puppydogs.
Yeah last time I went to the doctor my poor lady part area got stretched out like a rubber band. I still have phantom pain aches from it. 🙁. So I feel all, of these dogs pain.
Doctors and nurses are evil expectually if their a parent that laughs at your pain when your scared and yelling the ow words at the top of your lungs and have your parent and the doctor and nurse ladies laughing at you as you scream in pain and tell them to stop but they don't. And force hold your legs apart. Me and my poor body in that area are still traumatized 😫 😩 😪 😭 😢 from all of that.
My girlie is so afraid of the vet she won’t even go near the car, but her friendly demeanor takes over when I call her in baby voice so it’s not too bad
You have to be someone special to be a Vet. When I had my Pitbull big boy fixed a bunch of years ago, when we picked him up the morning after his operation, I will never forget the look on the doctor's face when I asked her how he was. She looked up at me with a face I have only seen on my own face while being awake with a crying newborn baby that lasted throughout the night and into the next day, and she said to me with a slow flat voice, "He had a long night." He had never been away from us for his whole life and he was about 4 years old when we had him fixed!! I still feel bad about that!!
@@SuzetteKath Cats are even worse! I had a cat named Crusty about 20 years ago and when I took him to get fixed, he hid under the bed for the rest of his life! He lived a long time too! Not all cats react this way though, I am sure yours will be just fine!
Poor little ones, you have to feel for them. All of my dogs were no different. My current one loves going for a ride, but the moment we enter the driveway of the vet's clinic in my vehicle, she knows exactly where she is, and immediately goes into "hide" mode while whimpering.
When i was in college doing my animal studies I did work experience at a vets and this sort of thing never failed to make me laugh. It was fun to try and get the animals to come in. Huskies are such tantrum babies. One of the best animals was we had a police german shepard dog come in for a checkup and his handler had to somewhat drag him in, poor boy whined like crazy. When you work as a vet you should never ever get annoyed about it because you have to expect it.
My dog loves the vet too because she comes to my home and when she gives him an injection she gives him like a lot of treats to distract him. He kisses her all the time😂
we are visiting 1 vet mainly and one for backup in case the first is closed or full. both are very modern in regards how they treat the animals. our and most other dogs arent frightened and are even happy. the staff is spending more good time with them, so the treatments are less stressfull and saves a lot of time :D the pets get treats, are greated with the name, a bit of playing before treatment/checkup and they have even some kind of "patient card" and appointment date. some dogs are handing them over themselves at the reception to check in :P once i even saw a bird giving his personal data to the staff, that voice was amazing. until around 15 years it was quite different. the staff was annoyed the whole day because most pets struggled a lot and were in terror. so it all last way longer and was very difficult. ps: iam in germany and far away from a bigger city. so to have 2 vets in reach is very good in our small town.
My dog is the COMPLETE opposite. He LOVES the vet. He doesn't give anyone a hard time, barely makes a peep, and is very calm when it comes to shots. He loves EVERYONE there to the point where they'll prank their new hires about him being "aggressive" towards the staff. The only thing he'll be aggressive about is his love and kisses!
So glad I had cats. My cat was taught vet time was extra cuddles, scritches, and forbidden treato (a few pieces of popcorn chicken) time. I also distracted him with kitty TV and cartoons on my phone.
My late pet rat haku absolutely loved going to the vet, he was a curly hair rat so his whiskers where super curly and all the nurses would swoon over him. My sweet boy just adored going to the vet
Funny, when we had dogs, they were never very afraid of the vet. My parents weren't allowed to touch my cat back then. She knew immediately that they were going to the vet. I always had to go with her, she was always calm.
Our last dog LOVED the vet. She was a big baby, but the shots and exam didn’t bother her much. She mostly just loved the people. When she was in the exam room, she would lay on the ground and watch the light underneath the door that the doctors go through and when there was a shadow underneath the door then she would stand up and get all excited because she knew a human was coming to give her attention (which would be the vet).
There was a male and a female rottweiler at the vet's. The female walked in to the exam like she was a model at a fashion show, the male whined and cried. The female was so embarrassed by his actions. SHEESH what a baby.
My cavapoo loved the vet! Maybe cause he started going there from 8 weeks old? The vets and techs loved seeing him too! He would jump up to the door in the reception area trying to get back to the exam rooms!
English bulldogs love going to vet. mine was crazy to go there, was difficult to get him out of the clinic, he always wanted more a lot of attention, new dogs and people, treats. Heaven

My groomer is the only person I know who has a magic touch with my pug x. She picks him up and cuts his nails, no issue. He just sees me pick up the nail clippers and he's out across the yard😂
My last big dog was a golden retriever. He loved going to the vet, since he thought everyone was there to give him attention 😊 He loved to greet everyone he saw!

My Corso is the same. Just trots right in loves everyone.

Our Cavapoo is like that, too. And she also seems very happy to see her groomer. But, she doesn’t necessarily like to be groomed!
As someone who works in a vet hospital, I have to say these videos are accurate.
Bless you for being there for them 🙏 ❤
So they know, huh? Haha smh I want a dog

Huskys are the comedic outlaw escape artists of the doggo community....
Don't forget drama queens 🤣
*Dog
Facts!! Incredibly smart too. But smart enough to size up a situation and decide if they care enough about it to do anything.
Some of these dogs have good reason to be concerned. Last time they went to the vet, their balls went missing. LOL!
And they had to wear the cone of shame after that
Or the lady dogs got their lady stuff removed.
Hilarious
They’re mad because they got the ”Bob Barker treatment “.
Someone walks into the vet for the first time “what’s that screaming it sounds like someone is dying” the receptionist “oh don’t worry it’s just a husky he’s a regular he always does this”😂
They're constantly screaming" oh my god why? Oh my god. Oh my god. Whyyy whyyyy"
Huskies are the most vocal dog breed. This makes them the most dramatic one too.
My dog just completely freezes at the vet when doing anything.

Was there a massive dog that required multiple people to force them inside the vets?
I love the moments when you try to carry your no longer lap sized dog ino the vet office and your dog suddenly decides to he has no bones.😂😂😂
The “no longer lap dog” is not only big but also quite strong and glued to the car seat. 😂
My dog loves going to the vet. She just loves all the attention she gets, also the treats she gets are a plus.

Yes. We are that way when it comes to dentists.
