The original length is about three hours long. I remember watching it in three one hour stints. It is good to know how Honky knows and hung and lived with Hogan and Beefcake etc back in the olden days. I'd never have known this if it wasn't for interviews like these. Keep up the good work.
Keep in mind the interview he did when he was a babyface and he tells the fans off for not cheering for him and that Hulk Hogan was the one that brought him into the WWF and that was his turn to heel.
People on here saying that the HTM is just bitter and hating on everyone. To me he comes across as a straight talker and maybe there are just a lot of scumbags in the business that's all. I can definitely believe that there are. A lot of egos trying to get the very few top spots in wrestling. I don't know why that would surprise anyone.
@@a.j.hellraiser8993 buddy, it's talent-based theatre. He's no better or worse by that held standard than Hogan, Flair, or Ventura. It's staged. It's not real. It's not even actual "wrestling". By the standard he was held up to, Honky Tonk's great. Nothing you can say will disprove that.
@@a.j.hellraiser8993 One of the best heels of all time. Greatest IC of all time, The Honky Tonk Man!! Sounds like he has some good reasons to be bitter. Also sounds like a lot of these wrestlers were dicks, he is just calling it as he sees it.
He's a straight shooter I love hearing these ole stories. It shows you that success doesn't happen overnight and that these guys had to go through a lot to get to where they got. Imagine wrestling in a small TV studio or High School Gym where you got maybe 30, 50 to 100 fans to 92,000 fans in Wrestlemania in Detroit back in 92. That had to be a rush, it's a tough business especially when you dont have a binding contract and your going town to town.
I know I’m answering this quite late but I remember going to a wrestling show one time and including myself there was eight people in the stands yet they still put on a full show.
Hulk was very loyal to Honkey getting him into WWE with Jimmy Hart and also WCW. -Paid in full, and wrestling is a tough business. Just having Jimmy Hart push you is huge.
2:30-I love how ppl criticize Bischoff for criticizing sting cuz he didnt get a tan, but EVERY interview it seems like with Hogan and how great Hogan was, the “Big Tan” is brought up like it was so important!
This reminds me that in some of HTM's early matches he was actually a face and the announcers would bill him as a "good friend of Hulk Hogan" and I guess there was some truth to it!
Soooo... Now it all makes sense. HTM had previously mentioned that Hogan suggested to Vince that HTM should hold the IC belt, but i had the impression Hogan barely even knew who HTM was and sort of picked the first guy he saw.
I'm sure that Hogan deserves some of the rep he gained over the years, for being a bit of a jerk, or being self-serving, whatever. I'm sure some of that is true. But I've also heard many stories about him making guys, putting guys over, going to bat for guys to Vince etc. Of him being a nice guy, and especially being nice/good to his fans. It's just like his drunk "racist" rant business. Did he say some stupid shit once, that someone was rude enough to catch on video and sell? Yeah. But people are usually shades of gray, not just black and white. Hogan is no different. I don't think he's a saint by any means, but I think he's done and been good in his life too. I think he's just a person, like any other. Could he have been more of a stand up guy, especially in WCW? Probably. But WCW also shouldn't have given guys like him the power over their own careers that they did.
The 2 people I trusted more than any other when they shoot are Ted DiBiase and Bobby Heenan (miss you, Brain). And both those guys talked pretty highly of Hulk.
Has a prick vibe to him. Saw him at a convention, he looked back at me with that douche bag vibe and I just walked right past. Didn't have anything for him to sign anyhow and he was way before my time.

I can't get enough of this interview. HTM tells great stories, and tells them so well!
🎵I got long sideburns and my hair slicked back coming to your town in a pink Cadillac 🎵
I’m cool. I’m cocky. I’m bad.
Gonna do your town in a pink Cadillac
Damn I am STUNNED. As much as I hear people bury Hogan, it's crazy to see HTM speak so nicely about him and that Hogan treated him so well.
Phoenix7786 Because he wants to get into the hall of fame.
Same here
Those days, Hulkster doubted himself a lot. Must have been a different person before AWA and WWF.
Keep in mind the interview he did when he was a babyface and he tells the fans off for not cheering for him and that Hulk Hogan was the one that brought him into the WWF and that was his turn to heel.
He is in the hall of fame. Best damn intercontinental heavyweight champion of all times

Totally agree
@@a.j.hellraiser8993 he was carried in matches because pro wrestling is stage theatre. Honky Tonk's a great athlete and a terrific wrestler.

Honey tonk man is a legend very wise guy he really understands the business
Honkey tonk man aswell 👍
Honey tonk man
🤣@@leejones8485
HTM is for real; when he has good things to say about other wrestlers, he very well does it
greatest IC champ of all time
Not no more.
THE Greatest Intercontinental Champion Of ALLLL TIME!
Bar none!
Oh shit...Hulk and Brutus used to be a tag team?? Boulder Brothers..I've never heard that.
As always, awsome video
Moral to the story, always treat people good cause you never know when you need them in life.
HTM is awesome..and a real straight shooter
The best IC champion
Ron Fuller Tennessee Stud!!! One of the all time greats.
1:40 '.....me with long blonde hair....' No, i can't even imagine that
You cannot say his name without saying it like his theme does. "It's the Honky Tonk man!"

Is that Ace Ventura : Pet Detective?
To this day I don't know why all the hate on beefcake. .he was great.idk
Soooo... Now it all makes sense.

Holy crap! HTM actually didn't trash a guy. That is how you know this is honest.
Sounds like Hogan did him a solid. For once.
Much Respect Honky Tonk Man!!!
Love this guy
According to Bruce Prichard this is true, hogan got him hired. He never forgot that honky helped him all those years earlier so he repaid the favor

Surprisingly I'm a new fan of wrestling, but please tell me that he's in the Hall of Fame.
Loved the honkey tong..
Who is this guy, and what did he do to the real HTM?
Verne Gagnes biggest regret is Hogan not winning the belt. Stupid move.
The Honky Tonk Man Said Very Nice Things About Hulk Hogan.
I am surprise he is talking nice about Hogan he usually doesnt
right?! I hardly ever hear anyone talk up Hogan.
Interesting...
***** why would u doubt it? A legends contract pays 200k to do absolutely nothing.
The 2 people I trusted more than any other when they shoot are Ted DiBiase and Bobby Heenan (miss you, Brain). And both those guys talked pretty highly of Hulk.
Depends on the day with Ol' Wayne
Honky craps on a lot of guys but he really seems to like Hulk.
Give cred where cred is dude tonky
Cool, cocky and bad...
HTM = worst dude ever
why?
