DANGEROUS ABANDONED FOOTBALL STADIUM!

- Aylesbury United once played at this abandoned football stadium. I even played there during summer holidays!
Now it lays abandoned and the crumbling, old stadium is a sad sight to see. It's a shame to see old football stadiums falling into disrepair like this. Can they not actually develop the land or give it back to Aylesbury United FC?
This abandoned place is in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (southern England).

Do you know of any other abandoned stadiums?
Im from Aylesbury great place I support Aylesbury vale dyomos FC
Vale park
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Adamslie Park kirkintilloch just outside Glasgow, you would like it there mate ,team called Rob Roy
Wembley after the Czechs win 😂
It's sad to see stadiums with so much history end up like that. Most stadiums in the UK get brought by property developers for housing usually.
Love the videos mate. Sad when smaller clubs end up going out of business, puts the whole Super League thing into perspective
Thanks very much, appreciate the kind comment about the vids. Totally agree about the Super League, especially when you consider what happens to small clubs!
@@FootyAdventures no worries man 👍 been keeping a look out for your stuff since you done a video about my team (Motherwell). Keep it up
Sorry to see you go through the rubbles of cherished childhood memories. Loved the content mate
It's incredible how quickly mother nature takes over.
Love this video as I was born and grew up in Aylesbury, been watching your videos for ages and never knew you were born there to, I also played at Aylesbury united’s stadium a few times and it’s so sad to see this stadium in this state
I met Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ronald Koeman on that pitch when I watched Ajax train at the ground. That is how recently it was revered.
Fantastic pitch to play on and I have my cup winners medal to prove it!
Absolute travesty.. I’m originally from
East Lothian and watch your Scottish Football blogs.. as a Rangers man .. great stuff. I’ve lived in Aylesbury for 23 years only a few mins from this stadium and yes, the surface was one of the best at semi pro level in the country consistently.
There is an ongoing campaign to “Bring the Ducks Home” with 21CD (21st Century Ducks) doing all they can to raise awareness to get them back into the town. Aylesbury Utd play at Non-league Step 4 in the Southern League.. the stadium went up for public auction and was purchased by a developer to demolish and build on, however since then they have literally done zero !!
A cracking club with dedicated committee and volunteers, Cliff is indeed a local legend and still runs the coaching via schools and his camps, a great guy all round, his eldest son Max is playing his trade as a forward for AylesburyUtd following in his old mans legendary footsteps.
Aylesbury lost 4-0 at QPR and 8-0 at WBA in FA Cup third round. I went to both in the early 90’s to support them.
That's right! So they did. I knew they had a few big results in the cup! Would love to see them play some bigger teams again one day!
They did a duck celebration when they scored I recall.
Great video. Watched many a match there back in the day and was one of the 4,000 who travelled to QPR. Heartbreaking seeing it like this but on the flip side your other videos are so uplifting. Love the Kelly Hearts hooligans. Keep up the good work
I went to the England game in 1988 - still have the programme - and came here a few times with Wycombe my team. It is nothing short of criminal that their eviction was allowed to happen. It just goes to show what happens when the wrong person takes control of a club.
Great video...I grew up in Aylesbury...I played here too and watched United not only here but at their previous ground....they had 3 gigs here too after the Wellhead Inn closed....cheers jim.
My parents grew up in Wingrave near Aylesbury my dad probably played here as a goalkeeper in his youth. Love the videos mate 👍
Great video. Yes, I remember seeing that duck celebration on the FA Cup highlights programme. They sort of crawled on their shins.
Amazing I’m from Aylesbury as well! Never knew you grew up here. Absolutely crazy, love this video. Buckingham Road is a waste of a great stadium
Love it I live in Oxfordshire and visit Aylesbury regularly
I knew it was Aylesbury as soon as you was walking through those bushes I grew on Elmhurst we was always rumaging around there I remember it was £1 to get in to watch ! Great vid thanks man
That's a sad site to see, I remember coming down years ago with king's lynn in southern league days
Very cool video😀 Keep up the good work😀
I remember when Aylesbury played England in a friendly in 88 break my heart to see that only 20 miles from my home town, been there too. Makes me mad they allowed MK to Franchise a league place when good non league clubs like Aylesbury United were allowed to die. Good video, ps watch out in that long greenery you can get ticks on your legs that can give you limes disease. It is getting more common.
Was wondering the other day if this place had been demolished yet since it was sold. Guess not! Heartbreaking to see it in that state, was always a brilliant playing surface there.
No, I live in Aylesbury and it’s still there. There may have been some small scale removals but not much
Found you by browsing hooked to your content bro well done
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching, lots more coming soon!
So sad to see the old ground in ruins, scored many goals there & have all my favourite football memories there… obviously the best being playing against the Full England side in 1988. I should have scored against Peter Shilton but my header flew over the bar. I pass the ground every day taking my daughter to school sometimes I tell her that I actually played there…..it just breaks my heart … RIP
Hi Cliff you was one of my idols back in the Day I remember that free kick you did when you pretend to have a strop then you would dart in the penalty box and score loads of teams fell for it😊, Great away days at clubs like Slough, Witney Chesham Bromsgrove rovers and of course Wycombe, loved going to Loakes Park, Underhill, Etc. They were great Days and is sad to see the old Ground now........
I live in Aylesbury and i remember going here as a kid to play football and watch the team play! crazy to see how it is now, i might go check it out its only down the road!
Been there a few time myself. Wish there were a lot more abandoned places in Aylesbury. Love exploring it lol, glad to know a bit of a backstory about my home town tho.
Another brilliant video
Thankyou!
Aylesbury utd summer soccer schools, remember them well! Highlight of the summer as a youngster. This is a very sad sight 😔
Same here many a summer spent at those soccer schools, Cliff Hercules is an absolute living legend
Imagine letting it go to ruin like that after winning loads of awards
I’m born and raised in Aylesbury and it’s sad to see this stadium like this
I played here a number of times for the women teams. Was an awesome pitch. I also remember Ajax coming to train here as well in pre season in 2004. Got to watch and Met the players at the end which was as a footy obsessed teen at the time, was awesome! England Mens team also trained at the stadium but wasn’t open to public unfortunately.
I live in Aylesbury. My dad used to support the club and go every week. Sad to see it in this state.
Sam, awesome video of Aylesbury United's old home, so shocking to see it in that state though, I can't believe it's STILL derelict, I've seen plenty of photos of it in a poor state, but nothing that grim ! Somebody mentioned Leyton, it's the Hare & Hounds Ground on Lea Bridge Road in that area of East London, the football club have a very complicated history, but differing versions of teams under that name played there for many years - it always looked abandoned when I went there with Billericay Town a couple of times for Isthmian League matches in the 00s !! Very rough area, you'd be a brave man to wander in there now, if it's still standing. Check your Facebook messages and I'll send you a couple of photos to either whet your appetite or warn you off !!!
There used to be two great abandoned grounds in Stoke. Uplands Avenue, former home of K Chell had a huge stand which was allowed to slide into dereliction. Trentmill Road in Hanley also fell into that category, but it has now been rehabilitated and although it no longer has its floodlights and some of the stands, it is in regular use again.
Born in Scotland, but Raised and lived in Aylesbury between 1990-2007, Watched my Step Father win a couple of Amateur football Tournaments there. So Depressing to see the state of the old ground in 2021. :(
Shame you didnt go inside, there could have been shirts or something. Great content though buddy, really enjoying your videos.
Totally feel your pain would pain me to see Valefield like that Kilbirnie Ladeside
Sadly with the state of junior football and covid we will probably see our clubs fold to unless they link up with better amateur teams to continue
Good video all the best safe journey up the road
Great video. Shame abouth the stadium
Love your content
Very sad to see football grounds in that state
Garry mate, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you!! More coming soon!!
Interesting video... and it's a shame nobody took responsibility for demolition
Buckingham Road ground I used live in bed Grove Greetham Road remember going there see ducks got evicted from there glad found this great watch mate all best
So they got evicted 15 years ago and the owners have done nothing with it. What is the point in that?!
Thats really sad, the owners should be ashamed
I think the reason the owners have done nothing is because of planning permission being unattainable, that’s what I have heard anyway, and having visited and played at this stadium it’s so sad
@@patricialockhart2135 not dead, just got a new stadium ua-cam.com/users/AylesburyUnited1897
@@maxyeo6672 Ah, glad to hear that, heartbreaking for fans when a club dies.
Good vids keep up the good work
sad to see the pitch like this and how these local small clubs go out of business
not dead, just got a new stadium ua-cam.com/users/AylesburyUnited1897
Sad to see the ground like this
“Weird noises coming out of the grass” 🤣🤣🤣
Love video's like this
Thank you, glad to hear it. Many more coming soon!!
Sad that the club went under. Also sad that the local authority couldn't have stepped in and at least maintained the pitch so locals could play on it or schools could use it. Someone must be making money on it being derelict and not in use.
Went to see a game there once when was in the RAF in the 80's stationed near ayelsbury at Halton. Cliff Hercules played for them, awesome name! Lol
You wouldn't think that place had seen studs on it since the 70's or 80's, that is wild. Still in better condition than Gayfield though 😅
Cool video my man.
Cheers!!
On better condition than Dick Campbell's heid
watched a couple of games at this ground in the mid naughties, a very sad state now. I live in East Yorkshire and support hull city, we play at the mkm stadium, hull city's original home is within sight of our current home. the club stopped playing league games there up to the outbreak ww2.reserve games were plated there in the mid 1960s.there is still evidence of the ground, terracing, and outline of the pitch and some architecture.would be worth a look.
Such a shame to see grounds like this
Why did they leave?
So we're they evicted from ground due to financial problems in 2006?
I know the Supporters trust took over in 2009. They play on the Southern League Central Division mostly been mid table team in recent years
Great video is that the same aiysbury where the stone circles are 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Thanks! I don't think there's stone circles around here!
That's Avebury in Wiltshire
Please come to Kidderminster Harriers vs Walsall in Pre seasons on the 24 of July please come kick off at 3pm
Kim Kasey = Great Player...
You should check out Billingham Synthonia's old stadium (English tier 10, about 5 miles from Middlesbrough). Very similar, athletics stadium with a big grandstand but now derelict and probably overgrown in the same way.
Boro reserves used to play there, so the likes of Juninho, Gazza, Massimo Maccarone, who were returning from injury, or kids coming through the youth ranks like Stewart Downing
That is sad to see. Wouldn't have cost the local council too much to have kept up it's uptake surely.
I live down the road from here so might take a visit someday.
BURY FC必ずや!
復活します!🎉😂
Good case for Lottery Funding to buy it back?
It's tragic to see stadiums in this state but becoming more and more common at non-league level. If you are still in the home counties area then maybe you should go into London and check out some old stadiums like Highbury, Griffin Park, Upton Park, White City, etc.
I was at the QPR v Aylesbury game in the FA Cup and now live just outside Aylesbury
Your face looking in that door 😂😂
😂😂 There was NO way I was entering that door. I'm no bald & bankrupt
@@FootyAdventures Exactly what this video reminded me of 😂
@@FootyAdventures underrated comment
Shit bag lol haha 😂
Since you are into abandoned stadium visits , can you do some of ex dog racing tracks , like Walthamstow , White City and Hackney .
What stadium is this?
That torn open doorway was creepy as F but I think I'd still want to look inside.
its shite boring
Can you do ravenscraig stadium in greenock
You need to visit Stand FC in Rossendale, Lancashire.
Actually a really sad sight when not so long ago it was a decent little ground shows why we can't produce world class players Scotland and England sadly.
Peter Beardsley scored 4 goals there when England played a friendly....sinful to see the stadium looking like that
Such a shame what has happen to the ground
Great videos, you could do with a drone ;)
That grass in just annual meadow grass, or poa thats been allowed to grow ....a cut, feed and a selective weed killer and continued maintenance and it would be back great again
That is a shame
Do you not usually wear trousers?
Very sad to see the old grounds just sat there and left to rot. They should be given back to the communities for the kids and the adults so they can play on them all and hopefully keep the grassroots alive.
Are Aylesbury still a team
Aylesbury home of my favourite band -Marillion -I wonder if the Racket Club is near you -where Marillion record and work from ❤️
That’s a sad sight.
I'm sorry for the loss of your childhood pitch. But it can be revived in some other capacity. Maybe a grassroots campaign to bring it back. If it's possible.
You should do a video where you get your friends and family and subscribers to turn that stadium back to normal
必ずや!復活します BURY FC
juniour team bellshill athletic's old ground is now a housing scheme not far from motherwell.. i played a schools cup final in that ground.
Deffo need to do Rotherham dude! All the stands etc still standing because owners don’t know what to do with it, and literally in eyesight is New York stadium
The place was closed down because the people that moved into the homes nearby.. started complaining about the football club that was there long before those homes for noise. Litrally closed because of people that knew it was a footy stadium. Used to be a ball boy during the 90s loved it. Rip aylesbury
The 'S' logo appears every where in graffiti 🤣
This is where Aylesbury Ununited now play.
Mate I live in haddenham I am a Oxford fan but Aylesbury is at heart
invest in a quality pair of Wellingtons my friend.
Literally went here on friday
Was the pitch award winning?
I live in Aylesbury and seeing this makes me so happy
You can go to Bury fc as everybody knows about that went abandoned in 2019
not dead, just got a new stadium ua-cam.com/users/AylesburyUnited1897
If you don't get out by night time call 911... I thought I saw a bear in the undergrowth so watch what you step on!!... 🤣
Come to Norfolk
England wouldn’t be training on that now!😂
My friends dad played for Aylesbury and scored 4 goals in one game once
the match with England 1988?
There’s an abandoned ground in Leyton
Nice mate cheers !
If the groundsman’s not around anymore, he’ll be turning in his grave at this.
Almost as run down as Hillsborough lol
