It's taken me a year to still not quite accept the imposter syndrome label. Thank you for your videos! They are so positive and give me hope I can forge a happy healthy way into a brighter future!

I love these videos, they have really helped me to reflect more objectively. I recently heard you say it is bad to turn emotions off, and I have been accidentally doing that for years now! I had some hard emotional times when I was younger and the emotions were too much to handle, but I am working with my wife to feel through it now.
I do have to say the music is so much louder than the vocal audio, my ears have always been sensitive lol

My therapist thinks I might be gifted. My thought processes seems more complicated than others, I can't turn my brain off and NOT think or perceive things. I'm always different from others.
What I don't do is understand and learn QUICKLY. You put much emphasis on the quick learning skills. So does that mean my therapist is wrong or am I just a different kind of gifted (maybe)?

Your therapist is probably right. The gifted brain can manifest in two ways -- sometimes it can see a tremendous amount of detail and use that to leap to conclusions other people don't see, and other times it gets overwhelmed by all that detail, and has to slow down to sift through it all. One of my sons is a math genius who had trouble finishing tests because he's a slow processor. He'd eventually get to the right answer, even on the hardest problems, but in his own time.
