Who manufactured the magnetic heads ? Amazing to see magnetic heads being produced still on anything ! Curious about that part of the manufacturing process and if they were custom wound for this unit specifically or if you purchased and designed based off of one’s already in manufacturing. Also will you plan on making a valve version? Is this discrete or does it use op amps ? Are there any transformers in the circuits in/out?
It should - when maintained properly - last for years and years. It's difficult to answer more in depth, cause it depends on how and where it's being used. Also, you should not replace the metal strip if the time comes. We are working on making replacement drums for that purpose.
Like you would any other mechanical device. If you use it a lot then take care of it. Listen to the effect, cause often times you can hear if the oil film is to thin or uneven.
You’re not actually expecting people to tour with this on pedal boards are you ? This is for a studio desk where there’s no baggage handlers throwing it around

@@TRexEffects Not smaller. i ment BIGGER haha. it would be so much cooler paying homage to the old casings if you guys made the case like an old echorec. it sounds super cool. but i dont feel like i could put this on top of my hiwatt. its more for the pedalboard which i feel is a lost chance at something super super cool
When's the visit to TPS!!💙
Thank you. That super clear. Can't wait!

We produce everything ourselves!
We have quite a few things in the works that are too early to be revealed now.
how often the metal strip must be replaced? and I didn't saw replacements on the website. can you clarify?

thank you!!!@@TRexEffects
My understanding (could be wrong) is that the metal drum should last for a few decades. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
How often do you oil it?

Why did you guys not make it in a similar casing to the other ones. This is the biggest throw off. cause it doesnt look good at all
Well, it's simply not possible to make it smaller at the moment. We have made it significantly smaller than the original already.

@@Suunder I get where you are coming from but it does have more usages than the original because it requires less space.
@@TRexEffects but leave that to the trex replicator :(
