I Bought the Ultimate with wireless dock included in April 2022 when 66% off. Worked perfectly until 3 weeks ago and suddenly kept power cycling. I RMA'd it back to razer even though it was technically a week outside the 2 year warrantee. Razer just sent me the V3 Pro with the new mouse dock pro and I'm so so happy. Razer have great support and have got me as a lifetime customer (on deals)
Correct me if im wrong but basically v3 pro is ultimate but with bluetooth, digital scrolling, inf scroll, and a slightly better sensor, and underlit rgb.
You should have mentioned that the wireless charging is a QI charger. If you mix up the charging types it could potentially break the mouse or charger. Also as for why the polling rate changes between the wired and wireless, it's actually a chip issue. There is currently no single chip solution for fast polling for both wireless and wired. Razer would literally have to add another chip and redo the whole board to give it that ability which would add probably another 30-50 dollar's to the price and add more weight to it.
Hands down the most complete and extensive review of this gorgeous mouse. I went from a logitech g502 hero to this. If I could say something "bad" in difference between this one and the g502 model (physically talking) is that the sensitivity clutch left button is a little bit more near the finger on the Razer, what makes a little bit uncomfortable, at least at the beggining. It might be a sort of getting used to it. In the other hand, what you mention about the polling rate with the dongle, it should have been increased as well while connected wired. It makes no sense that they gives that feature with an wireless dongle but not while being wired. Anyway, this is an amazing mouse. Im enjoying it every second. Gz for the review!
Getting this delivered tomorrow. Sadly I had to order the dock from another website so it’s a bit delayed, but i’m getting that in a few days as well! Lovely!
Nice looking mouse ….. especially in white …… but the price has DEFINITELY NOT been improved ….. that’s ridiculous, like all new Razer mouses being overpriced! I have a few Razer mouses and the new ones (released this year) are completely overpriced and shows the company is getting out of touch with consumer spending. Especially in current times
These are the "Pro" variants, it really is no surprise razer is pricing them so high, they usually make a standard version that is wired that is priced more justifiably.
Not gonna lie. The best thing about Razer Basilisk V3 Pro is The charging dock. I can slam my phone in there perfectly + i get better angle to see my phone than normal wireless charging dock.
Seems absolutely perfect, except sadly I don't like the shape of the Basilisk personally. At least for the Hyperspeed X variant, the combination of the back-heavyness makes it awkward in a claw grip to me, and a palm grip is not ergonomic for my hand-size. The first might be different with the wired version, but the second is the grip style I prefer anyhow. I just hope then, that Razer will release more mice with this scroll wheel, for what I'm really after is a replacement to my MX Master 3, but with a gaming-grade sensor and considerably lower weight.
I bought the razer deathaddder v3 pro and I'm thinking of sending it back and getting this one. Since it has the same sensors, clicks etc etc. I don't find the deathadder to be as comfortable as my g502 lightspeed / g502 x. And I absolutely detest how light it is. I wanted to try a light mouse but man they feel like cheap macdonalds toys. And since I play on glass on a super high dpi, the weight gives me some extra control and stopping power over a super light mouse.
I was at the razer store in Austin, Texas and was so close to getting it. Unfortunately I got a new basilisk ultimate like a couple months ago from an RMA. Still thinking about it though.
3:23 if we look at this comparison the most important aspects like weight and battery life are on the side of the old Basilisk Ultimate. The only good things that the V3 has are the infinite scroll wheel (not sure if its better to have than the customizable resistance wheel tho), USB-C and the 4k polling rate and arguably you wont even feel the difference between 4k and 1k.
used the viper ultimate for awhile now the v2 pro only thing about the basilisk is the weight after getting used to a 74 and 58 gram mouse im assuming the basilisk will feel extremely heavy and clunky
I have the mouse and I do have to say it’s a great mouse but it’s definitely not the greatest gaming mouse. If you’re a right handed palm grip user and don’t game seriously and like the aesthetic then go for it but if not then it’s probably not worth the money spent on it. If you are buying a mouse for gaming then the best right now are the Deathadder V3 Pro (for larger hands) or the Viper V2 Pro (for smaller hands) but if you game lightly and want some rgb for work then go for it
love the mouse (have wireless and wired) but after a while the you notice the weight.. I wish they would make a superlight of this shape. Perfect in the hands, just a bit too heavy for FPS etc.
I'm going to put together a Gen. 5 PC next year. I plan on picking this up along with a Black Widow V3 Pro Wireless. I'm not a fan of huge mousepads, so I'm hoping for a V3 Firefly to boot.
no, you pay for the wireless capabilities (bt+2.4ghz). if you do not want to use it wirelessly (eg, traveling with steamdeck, laptop or you hate cables) then there is no point in paying for this one
I never knew Razer already copied Logitech's hyperscroll! (The only reason I've been stuck with Logi) Will rather have that RGB blaring serpant any day of the week!
I really like the new dock but have zero issues with the old one had it since release ( same for a couple of friends ) Ive connected it to a phone charger so I can charge the mice at night without the PC
Hell no. The basilisk is way batter than g502. The feel was horrible. It felt cheap and it had my fingerprints on it after like a minute. Also their new blackshark v2 pro is 200$ and logitech's arctis nova pro is literally 350, maybe 300 if you find a deal. Razer is proven to be a way better option (RandomFrankP) so I don't fully agree on what you said. Maybe it was like that in the past tho 🤔🤔
It’s really just about personal preference and perspective. Each brand has their own product that beats the other . I own the v3 pro basilisk and the g502x plus… and I prefer my Razer mouse more. For keyboards however…. I would definitely go for a Logitech keyboard. For headsets… I would say BlackShark v2 pro (2023) is very good. At least, I’m not biased or a “fanboy” to think a brand is better at everything. My whole setup isn’t just one brand.. it’s a mixture of many peripherals from different brands that I pick out individually because it made them stand out from others. But that’s just my opinion…
Hopefully they make a Naga pro with those upgraded features. I just got one recently but the wireless charging is nice but the USB-C alone is a very, very welcome upgrade that the Naga needs. They should make the dongles USB-C as well already.
Hi mate. Will you be doing a review of the Leviathan V2 Pro at any point? I already bought one and it is honestly the best sounding soundbar I think I've ever heard. I tried in the The Razer store in London about 3 weeks ago and had to buy it Love your content by the way
I’ve got the Leviathan V2 in my setup. I have some mixed feelings about it tbh, especially when I compared it to my SoundBlaster Katana V2… the Katana sounds miles better, but is also more expensive. Have you compared the Leviathan V2 Pro against any other sound bars?
@@TechBlock I have only compared it to the Harman Kardon speakers in my TV for direct, face on speakers comparison and my old Logitec 5.1 setup, that I gave to my sons for their PC. It absolutely blows both of them out of the water for clarity and bass. The V2 Pro can be a little overwhelming for bass, but there's obviously the EQ settings in Synapse to turn it right down. I do think for £400 it is well worth the price and I'd definitely recommend going to the Razer store and speaking to Liam to have a go with the V2 Pro. The demo they have is crazy, but sadly you can't get it for home use
I got mine 2 weeks ago sent it back, too small for the larget hand,.i also didnt like the the button on the side for the thumb, as i kept hitting it, overall 5/10
man I just got the v3 pro and i love it but the sniper button is a bit annoying as it hits the tip of my thumb sometimes, maybe ill get used to it since everything else is just perfect. Was considering getting the ultimate instead but i rather have the latest tech..
I have the Basilisk Ultimate and i never understood why i should put the mouse USB into the charger itself if i can just leave it in my PC while i can charge it wirelessly. Do any of you know?
Ahhh maybe should have mentioned that the new one's clutch button didn't come off.. def just ripped mine off and 2 seconds later you mention the new one not having that option ..
I tried to order it off of Amazon and they gave me the wrong mouse right packaging wrong mouse in the box so I shipped it back. Kind of sad 😢😭 hopefully I get the right one on the second go around
You can’t use 4000 Hz over wire because there is no such chipset developed in the entire world that can do both wireless and wired 4K polling rate. It’s impossible.
Having the original Basilisk, getting replaced 3 times (1+ years in process) before they refuse to replace it again cause of the same issue which is freezing and disconnecting. So basically the ultimate version of the ultimate
The old mouse came with the dock and the new one sells the dock separately tho. That's a huge downside imo
The old dock is bad and its also type c but its a price increase
The old dock was an upcharge still, $200 for the pack with the dock at launch
The old dock is a gimmick charging at half the speed and doesn’t work if it moves slightly was never worth the extra money
Lets go! I have been waiting for your review on the basilisk v3 pro
It's finally here!

Haha it’s an unexpected feature 😆
Too bad there isn't white edition doc
They intentionally did that polling rate issue over the wired and wireless charger to target the enthusiast gamer to buy their additional product
And it's a smart move.

My complaint is too bad the Mouse Dock Pro won't stop overcharging once the mouse fully charged, and the scroll wheel is quite wobbly.
Hi can you recommend the Razer Iskur this year??? I am planning to buy one.

Between this mouse and Master MX 3S from Logitech which one is better?
this mouse of course
Mx master is actually worse in every aspect. This has 3 modes in different ways
Has it turned yellow yet? Reddit has threads about the white turning yellow

OMG THANK U FOR REVIEVING THIS MOUSE THIS MOUSE I WNATED TO BUY THIS MOUSE AT CHRISTMAST
Does this white version have the problem of dongle disconnections ? On the black version (V3 Pro), it is very common. At 180 € it's not conceivable.
