Well done for having two tyres fitted . Tyres brakes and lights are the three most important parts on a car and should never be skimped on . Great content

Thanks for watching and kind comment, much appreciated. I agree completely about thes, brakes and lights and did actually feel slightly ashamed that my car failed on a cut tyre and badly adjusted light….it just goes to show the benefit of the annual MOT!

The Repar was re-enable at Tesla. But wow my full fat Range Rover has 21inch wheels and I put 2 new Perelli Verde all seasons for £440 £220 each about 2 weeks ago fully fitted and balanced and new valves at my local independent tyre shop also you can just drop in any time. I’ve had very little go Wong with my Land Rovers but maybe that’s down to not using main dealers and staying with specialist and independent shops that I trust. Which also benefits all locally instead of feeding the corporate machine.
Like suvs EV’s will wear through tires quicker due to wait and also down to driving style especially if you accelerate a lot very quickly. So keep an eye on the wear due any defect on a heavy car can be disaster.

The Model S (and X) are prone to wearing the inside edges of the rear tyres, which can be tricky to spot. The problem is that when you reach 70mph, the suspension lowers to improve the aerodynamics and hence efficiency. However they completely forgot that this alters the wheel camber angle so puts more pressure/force - and wear - on the inside edge of the tyre. 🤦🏼I checked for that, but not the inside tyre wall! Glad you’re enjoying your Full Fat Range Rover. I didn’t have as much luck with mine and ended up rejecting it after 9 trips back to the dealer within the first 3 months of ownership of a new car…I knew it was a gamble when I bought it, but if you get a good one they are an exceptional car and a great way to travel.👍🏻.

@@WolfiesWheels yep very odd even JLR thought of that. Yep get why you may of been burned. Key is knowing the good ones like engines and protental issues like with any car can have. I also stay far away from main dealers due the ones I’ve been to seem to have zero clue. Bar my experience with Volvo have been very good. But when I took my first l322 in to a main dealer for a fault find, they couldn’t find it in two hours and still charged me for the privilege. I then took it to a specialist who found the issue in less than 10mins it was a sensor and was only billed for the repair. He also told me if the main dealer found it they would have replaced the entire component the sensor was bolted into at massive uneasy expense or just start firing the parts cannon at it. Also I found MD have a lot of apprentices and very few experienced MC so it’s a massive lottery how you’re car may be handled. Key find a specialist or good independent garage you can trust and build a relationship with them. Main dealers on the service side can be over rated and tend to be massively over priced. Make of that as you wish and subjective depending on brands and chains, I appreciate with warranties you’re tide in. But I’ll probably never buy a new car, mainly due to depreciation.
Good vids I’m not a massive EV fan but find the tech interesting and seeing owners of older models to see how they get on. The only issue I hate is with some EV vlogers and channels it’s like a religion any concern or valid criticism there immediately on the war path with you. Key thing is I believe if some one wants ever a EV or ICE or Hybrid allow them the choice but don’t force us in just one option.
But looking forward to see how it all goes.

Interesting story, especially with the tyre company. They say you only find out how good a company is when something goes wrong.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I absolutely agree with you, and sadly its often when things go wrong we find the Company does not live up to reasonable expectations...

The Carte Gris is the equivalent of the V5 in the UK.

Thanks - you are of course correct, the MOT equivalent is the Control Technique...🤦🏻
