Mourinho is undeniably world class, but things always turn sour because hes got zero tolerance for this new wave of young football megastars who think they are above the club and above the manager himself. Simple.
I Agree to some extent but he loves players with big heart , who are leaders with big personalities. His technique of getting a reaction from players and a team is not effective with these new type of pre Madonna players. For example I believe he saw the talent in Luke Shaw and gave him the rough treatment for him to fight and get through the mental barrier that he had after his injury…..It actually worked as Luke Shaw was one of the first on Jose’s team sheet the season when he got sack but Ole came in with Shaw playing well and got all the credit. Never mind the fact that Luke Shaw cut his summer vacation early hit the gym and came back the fittest player at the start of that season and was the undroppable under Jose. Jose just needed to know that not all players react to the same things and you have to change it based on the personality of the player.

Jose Mourinho gave Manchester United the EUROPA CUP, a cup that the club has never won. Mourinho is a successful manager. Tottenham hotspur robbed him of the trophy that he was going to win for them.
Porto won the CL before against bayern (87 i think). Aberdeen is just beyond me. And he won vs bayern and real madrid. + he won the supercup vs hamburg (cl winner).
Nobody should argue against Jose being one of the greatest managers of all time. But when talking about Ferguson, they didnt even bother to mention his time at Aberdeen where he won 3 league titles, 6 domestic cups, european cup winners cup and the European super cup. "Only ever did it at United"... those 38 trophies were at United, he has 50 overall
I would’ve loved to have seen Mourinho take the Portugal job at this time around. He would’ve done bits with that squad and it’s young talent and Ronaldo up top.
I get what you saying but he's gonna get that job when it will matter the most, when CR7 retires and the Portuguese national squad will need to be rebuilt
Jose is one of the greatest managers of all time, no doubt about it. Jim sounds like a hater all he is saying "Jose argued with a players, so he is no good". I think Jose likes military style discipline in team. All must play according to plan and concentrate on football first, not party's , endorsements and magazine photo sessions.
Mourinho had tested himself almost in every leagues and most of it was succeed. While Wenger and Ferguson never test themselves in other leagues. That is so much difference to be comparable. Mourinho's legacy as a manager is envious than any other imo! The fact that he's won titles in four different top leagues in Europe and has more trophies than Ferguson, who I believe is second, has to make him better. Mourinho is also someone who has about 10+ good years in him. It'll be interesting to see the record he has when he retires!
His greatest ever achievement will be how he announced himself in the premier league, having led Porto to back-to-back European titles, first, the Europa League, followed by the League title and Champions League. And with Roma and what he seems to be building, he could end up being the first to win the Conference League(2022), followed by Europa League(2023) this season, and top it all off by winning the Champions league(2024) next season, that'll be something if he manages to achieve that! Already in my eyes as the Best Manager of the last 20 years.
Jose Mourinho didn't thank Simon Jordon for nothing when he came to talkSPORT this summer. Jose Mourinho is the greatest manager of all time along with Sir Alex.
The Fergie/Mourinho debate reminds me a little of the Messi/Ronaldo debate. The formers spent all their years at one club and the latters achieved success in multiple countries/cultures/languages.
Well it is not the same. Fergie rebuilt through different generations and was successful throughout. How many mangers can do that? Mourinho is one of the best in the world ever but he definitely can't stay at a club for over 4 years because he implodes by then and turns the team against him. He is one of the best to go to a club and assemble a successful team. In my opinion, decades later there will be many Mourinho's in the history books but there won't be many Fergie's i.e. someone managing one club over 2 decades and being successful throughout.
Fergie is far superior! It’s not a debate. Only the millennial fans think it is as to them football was in invented in the noughties. Fergie won an European trophy with Aberdeen!

Any title that couldv'e been won by a manager in a country or worldwide mourinho has managed, he has won it. The man has won every title available to him at least once from various countries. There is simply no debate.
If people cite doing it in different countries, with different cultures, as what makes Pep special (as a counter to the argument that he's always had the best resources whatever league he's managed in), surely the same also applies to Mourinho. Nothing wrong with Jose having zero tolerance with that .
That's why he keeps getting sacked.
He lost the dressing room at Chelsea and Madrid back then too so clearly it’s just an issue for him regardless of the generation

No holier than thou players there like, pogba, martial etc. No touch me not, players like dele, bale, winks etc. No management like levy who fire coaches with a day to go before a final. Instead jose has such a young squad, in the mould of tammy, zaniolo, shomorodov, el sharawwi, vina, pelegrini, patricio vestout etc. These are unprostituted players who play for the badge, their fans and their coach unlike the mercenaries mentioned above. These are players whose purchase prize was never above 40 thou usd. Watch them tear the serie a within the next 2 years under the mentorship of jose.
Jose is simply the greatest of all time
Sir Alex Ferguson is even he would say it
Why’s Jim emphasising loyalty as if it makes a manager better. Fergie fan boy bless him. Not even open to the argument.
The premier league don't deserve Jose he was an undervalued Manager in the premier league even though he was winning he is an ultimate outsider For the English. Passion this man carried is crazy doubt he was arrogant but his players give their life for him and another league loved him. i hope before he retires he will manage Newcastle united one day when eddy Howe takes on a new adventure in his life . Newcastle will adore Jose i am sure because they have the same Passionate fans like of Porto, Inter Milan, Roma, and Real Madrid . Because it is written this guy teacher is Sir booby Robson i am sure one day he will join Newcastle United Project. love you Jose from Newcastle united fan
It’s insane to me that pep gets all the recognition and people call him the greatest manager of the time yet pep has never in his career taken the challenge of taking a good team and making them great. Pep simply goes to the club that has established greatness while Jose will go to the club that are underdogs and build them up.
Under Pep Bayern went from European champions to also rans....ask Bayern fans what they think of Pep
If Jose Mourinho is an englishman then there is no debate, he is GOAT end of discussion
This is brilliant
Mourinho unlike other managers won everything with smaller budget teams! That's a special one
I notice NO mention of Sir Alex's achievements at Aberdeen.... I'm disappointed in you Jim White. Porto was mentioned for Jose, why no Aberdeen? a much smaller club.
You can name all the managers that had managed 1000 games but there is not one there that have won league titles in 4 different countries besides Jose 👏
I’m a united fan so would always say fergie but I could see a mile off Jim’s Scottish agenda building once simon started talking…
But when he was interviewing jose he was hugging him and giving him ties and stuff. Redknapp is the same. Destroyed Jose for years and when Jose was a pundit there he acted like his student
@@brandonayong5823 let's be real, you or I if paid to be play anyside of an opinion for stuff like football manager we'd. Some pundits just do that to create sensation or get spotlight
Mourinho is the Greatest Manager Ever... Unique is a Great Word...
