In thousands of years they will dig up your clutch string and wonder what kind of cultist ritual it was used for.

Moving transmission and engine is hardest part of a clutch I agree

Yes I'm happy, I've done plenty of clutches in my life, but no way I'm doing my Subbie after watching this

@@briansmobile1 Don't get me wrong it's a great video and i would use it 100% if I was doing the clutch, I just didn't know it was that bigger job.

My little '02 RS had it's fifth gear stuck to the gearshaft, I had to pull it out only to have the gearbox housing snap right where the throw-out bearing sits. Just had myself grab a used cogbox from an Outback that has gone pretty long miles. Hopefully that will live longer. Both are separate as of now so it's a perfect time to change out for something with a little more grit to it. Better flywheel, clutch disc and bearing are looking real nice of the digital shelves.

Thanks for the videos! Watched over a few times to pick up the tips and carried out my own clutch/flywheel change recently with out too many issues. Mainly separation of the block and realignment of gear box back on after... several tries later and remembered to use the driveshaft to rotate the gearbox slightly, went straight on after that!

There must be lots of Subaru's in Utah. Here in California I've only worked on two of them before. Even though the Subaru dealership is right on the other side of the freeway, I don't see very many of them.

Great videos!! Again great and very inspirational informative videos. The only thing I would add is to emphasize breaking the seal on the bell housing of the motor to transmission. As I had to pry mines apart, both dowel pins stuck to the transmission. Don’t be afraid to use a wedge to separate. Good stuff Brain and thank you......

Did you have to loosen up the 2 bolts on the clamp in the center of the turbo to finally get the transmission apart?

Nice vid. I changed my clutch 1 month ago, now I broke my transmission with the new clutch kit.
I have already removed the gearbox, but the throw out bearing just sits on the clutch now. How can I remove it to put it on the transmission? Or can i put the transmission on it like that, and then put the fork on the throw out bearing from the top? Would be thankfull for every information.

Hey thanks for the videos they were extremely helpful doing and tackling my flywheel and clutch in my 2012 WRX now I have a question my front driver side axle seal is now leaking I watched four different videos just pop the axle seal out with the tool that I have or do I actually have to spin that piece out and yelled that controls the backlash and put it in from the back side because the videos I watched show is all being done a different ways and I would trust your advice over there thank you

Just saw your post as I am having an issue with my front right CV. I noticed a circular coil spring with a flat edge like a retainer that popped out but I could not see where it went back for re-install. It has to go in the transmission and act like a seal. The same spring was hanging on the shaft outside of the RT axle. Subaru dealership at its best. Brian if you see this 2 of your followers are having an issue with the RT side axle

Dealer is charging me $700 for clutch and throw out bearing. Diagnosed the flywheel needs replacing without looking at it (no vibration drove it into shop), Wants $3000. I'm felling pretty screwed. Told them no friggin way. Just do the bearing and clutch plate. They should do the pressure plate too for $700. A clutch kit with everything is under $200.

Those dowel pins are pissing me off.
Hey Subaru, you could have put a jack bolt position to crack these apart.

I can change a Clutch with my eyes closed. Because I know You. Because if I did the repair it becomes a Flowerpot.
