I have been going to Jekyll Island since the early 1950's, when the causeway was built. It is a beautiful place, and a piece of American history, alomg with nearby St. Simons Island.
“In 1733, General James Oglethorpe named Jekyll Island in honor of Sir Joseph Jekyll, his friend and financier from England. In the late 1800s, Jekyll Island became an exclusive hunting club for families with names like Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt, Pulitzer, and Baker.” 👀
Are you planning a trip to Jekyll Island?
Absolutely! I MUST check this place out
