    Thanks to you I started noticing culverts in my neighbourhood. Out national train company removed an old iron bridge and replaced it with a concrete one and they built a lot of new slopes and mini culverts etc around it to make sure rain can get off the slope before the bridge and without flooding the street. Aaaaand the best of it all. We have little pond that ends in a drain with a waterfall at the outlet and they are removing it and building a new bridge. I am off to watch the progress of it now and then. I would have never taken notice of it before I found your awesome videos. 🙂

    Firstly, I like watching your videos. They are awesome. What you do is amazing for not only fellow people, but wildlife and nature as well. Helping move things along, it is great.
    Second, something I’ve learned recently; Ticks are most common around farms and fields. The deer, moose, elk, cats(example:cougar), bear, any big game, that carry the ticks. You will pick them up walking game trails. Tall grass is the most common place. Since deer, moose, elk, etc like bed down in tall grass/fields at night and even in the day. Ticks sit lingering and waiting for something to come by to hop a ride on.
    Sometimes it is us they hitch a ride on.

    That vehicle at the end is a Land Rover Defender 110 inch....wearing UK plates. The L on the plate signifies that it's a 1993/1994 and the HP at the end signifies that it was first registered in the city of Coventry, which is in the county of Warwickshire, pretty much slap bang in the centre of England. Coventry is very close to Solihull (about 15 miles drive), which is where that vehicle was probably built.

    Shoulda taken some of them tadpoles back to you're aquarium I remember as a kid I found a large tadpole colony like that and put them in a flat enough container to become frogs and they found they're way out and into the pond. Interesting video thanks for sharing.

    The RHD 4x4 is likely a Japanese vehicle privately imported. Many such vehicles find their way to NZ, Australia, South Africa and possibly the UK. Your videos are informative in many ways other than just unclogging drains so make for interesting viewing, motivated by your community altruism.

      It’s a Land Rover Defender and it’s British. LHD versions were sold for a short time in the US in the 90’s. This one was imported from the UK since it’s RHD. It’s most likely here permanently, there is a great LR restorer located in Maine. There are quite a few in the US. It’s an expensive, but perfect, vehicle for that terrain.

    Nice to see a British Landrover Defender over the pond! I don't think they were sold on the American market. They did also make them in LHD variants for Europe. It still has a yellow rear British registration plate still on it, L441 NHP. It's a 1993 2.5 TDI 110 wheelbase and exported sometime in early 2019. Did the person in the car sound British? They are well spoken of over here, pretty much the king of the off roader in the UK. 20 year old ones in good condition with upgrades are selling for upwards of $50,000. They stopped producing them in 2018 of this style and made a new one based on the Discovery.

    • @seashackf1
      @seashackf1 Рік тому

      They did sell them in the US from ‘93 - ‘97. Defender 90 and 110. All LHD and with gas engines, no diesel. The US versions are very expensive today. It’s actually cheaper to import one than buy a 90’s US model. They are well thought of here too, but not common because of their cost. Jeeps are everywhere here so they are much cheaper to buy and maintain.

    Those roads remind me of descriptions of what early roads were like in the country back in the 1910s and 1920s... especially the shot right at the start of the video. Sections of mud to get mired in, giant potholes and lake-sized puddles, downed trees across the road, and no signs telling you where you're going. Oh, and only encountering one other vehicle on your entire trip.

    We had some lovely music, during the beginning of the video there are three times the word "so" was said and there was an applause! Nice video mate!
    For all the deaf viewers there was no music and the random so that appears on screen was never said, but that applause, that wasn't added either but post deserves it

    In this day & age of addiction, criminal activity, children wasting time on video games, adults dropping their rumps in a bar spending up their bill money & drinking their troubles away making them worse??
    It's rather refreshing to see videos like these, your life is what YOU MAKE OF IT!! 💯
    This here is one of many examples of wholesome, respectful, contributing & proper time management!!! 🙏☮🌍🇺🇲
