I leaned something. I'm tearing down this same cylinder. Came off a Massey oddly enough. Couldn't figure out how to get the gland off. Thanks for the info.
That is a very difficult question because there are a lot of variables there. For us, we don't use kits. We measure out every seal. So for your question, if it was brought to us, there would be a flat rate. For example, if it is a 1.5 rod, your cost would be 195+ tax. That price includes every seal and a 1-year warranty. The only way that price would change is if we have to do machine work or we have to get custom seals. I know shop that charge shop rate plus seals. And their shop rate is 90+ an hr. So the best awnser I can tell you is it will really depend on the shop. Sorry for the lengthy awnser.

how much do you think a kit and labor should reasonably be to do what you just did?

And just like that my confidence hit an all time high. Even I can do this now! Thanks
No problem, you are welcome.
Great video. Did you use a cylinder hone where the snap ring is at the end of the cylinder? Thanks
Yes I do. Especially if there is burrs on it.
@@mayshydraulic great, thank you
Try to not work in front of the camera next time, makes it real hard to see what you’re doing.
No problem will do.
