Awesome. There's definitely more room under there than I expected

Damn those tires are meaty! I wanna put some BF Goodrich tires on my 07 trailblazer to give it that aggressive look

The stock tires are 265/70/17 and their actual diameter is 31.6 inches so people would call them 32's. Depending on which rating you have your Mickey Thompson's are either 32.8" or an actual 33". The next most common size up, the 315/70/17 that is commonly called a 35 but at 34.4 inches from most manufacturers it's actually more like a 34. But, hey, marketing never let math, or the truth, get in the way of a good story. With some trimming at a 2" lift and the right offset these will fit but now you're starting to need gears and that is far more expensive than the tires. For most people the 32 or 33 inch tire on these mid szie trucks is the way to go if you want to increase performance a little without spending a small fortune on mods. I've driven a 2022 PRO4-X with the aforementioned 315/70/17's and E-rated (not at all needed or beneficial) Falken Wildpeaks at roughly 58 pounds and the performance drop with acceleration is significant. The guy doesn't really do much more than ride gravel and some rutted mud tracks roads to deer stands and he just likes the look so they work okay but if you are actually looking to improve performance you're going the wrong way if you don't regear for anything over 33. Especially if you go to true 35's.

Good to know. On my truck, I ordered a bracket to locate my spare tire vertically in the bed. This makes the spare much easier to access when towing or 4x4'ing on uneven terrain.

I want to eventually get a steel rear bumper with the tire swing out. But that's a ways down the road

@@CanadianCruisin That's a solution that could provide a better departure angle too - pending your choice of bumper. I have one of those on my Jeep - just another step to get into the back. But the radius on the swing isn't convenient when towing.

@onefastcyclist yeah I don't tow often so luckily it's not a big deal breaker for me. If I towed a camper or something I'd most likely go the same direction as you

Thanks for the video. I have a question, I'm deciding between the heavy duty and the medium duty Dobinson's spring leafs. How does your truck drives with the heavy duty ones? Thanks again.

On road it feels the same as stock. You feel it a lot more over speed bumps and stuff like that. Off road is usually bumpy enough that you don't notice it either.
