Hi, is the build quality a big issue? I want to buy one of them, but I am leaning a bit more to the Osee T5+ for the brighter screen. But the design of the Portkeys PT5 is a lot better, so for outside use. Which one should I lean to?
Build quality is not that big of an issue. You wouldn't know unless you have both in hand. The port keys feels denser in hand while Osee feels lighter. I say you are good to go with Osee if you are using it outdoor. The 1000 nits makes a huge difference for sure.
@@ToasterVentura You made the choise for the Portkeys because of the easier handling. But if you would film outside, would you also have chosen the Portkeys PT5?
Just a heads up i am currently using a 128 gig usb at first it didn’t work but when i reformatted it in the right format its works perfectly i was able to load up all my custome Luts.
Surprisingly yes, I just tested it and it powered on the monitor using the USBC to USB a into the portkeys. It's being powered by my gimbal right now lol
@travelpatron the pt6 is only 600 nits and priced at 169$ vs pt5 is 500 nits at $125. I don’t think the 100 nits is gonna make a huge difference man. You should consider whether you like touchscreen function more vs button operation of t5 more instead. And I think the pt5ii is a pretty good deal if you are into touch screens

If I were to film outside 70 percent plus then Osee. It's not like you are changing settings constantly anyways. You can set and forget you know?
@@ToasterVentura yes! I do understand! Really thank you for this video, because there wasn’t a comparison video about these two.
Thanks buddy yeah I am sure lots of people are in the same shoe as me. Glad I was able to help!

Oh cool maybe I need to reformat the cards for it to work. Great tip!!
@@ToasterVentura no problem.
I learned that it’s the format that has to be correct the size doesn’t matter at all.
Hey, does the Portkeys have 1:1 pixel mapping for focus checking? Cheers!
Will either of these work with older DSLRs like my canon 5D mark ii?
If it has an hdmi output then yeah!
@@ToasterVentura thank you…I only wondered if it would provide accurate picture framing size but yes it does have hdmi out thanks
@paulmiller6336 yeah I mean it should be 16:9 aspect ratio.
Thanks
Im liking the portkey, can you power it with a powerbank somehow?
Surprisingly yes, I just tested it and it powered on the monitor using the USBC to USB a into the portkeys. It's being powered by my gimbal right now lol
@@ToasterVentura pls do a review on what kind of powerbank output + what kind of cables!! i need this!🥲
@@ToasterVentura also does it affect the brightness as well when using powerbank ✌🏻
Just grab a cheapy usbA to USBA cable and you are golden. It needs at least 5V
Oh good question let me test that out and get back to you.
Good review. For those who shoot outside, 600 nits is a fail, even with a sunscreen.
Thanks buddy appreciate the support my friend
Is osee t5 1000 nits enough to film outside without hood??? I see t5 has a hood too
It’s bright enough to be outside but you still deal with glare so a hood is still recommended
@@ToasterVentura thank you. What about pt6? Worth to switch it to t5 or not how do you think?

@@ToasterVentura I was thought that t5 is 1000 nits. Thanks 🙌🏻
Oh I misread your comment. Yes T5 is 1000 nit, the port key pt5ii is 500 nits lol. Do you film outside a lot? If so get the brightest screen possible
