A V force valve has more flaps and less angle, and takes up more of the volume in the cage itself. V force has years of R&D where I’m sure the China G2 cage does not. I would say Iv gained way more velocity as well as higher rpm range just from switching to the V force cage
@@wtmotobikes8838 Question: I have a Zeda80 type engine with the open transfer ports... Stock engine except for mz65 pipe & CDH cast head. I want some more power. I was gonna start with only taking 1/2mm off bottom intake & 1/2mm off top exhaust port roof. I seen a VM22 carb/G2 reed kit for $50. If I installed it with the windowed piston, what porting mods would you recommend? Should I do the 3rd intake transfer port to the same height as the side transfers. Should I get a degree wheel & do anything to the side transfer ports?
@@michaelbrinks8089 if you have a open transfer cylinder you’ll find you can get more power out of a non reed setup versus a reed valve. What I would do…. Raise the exhaust port 3mm, widen the port 3mm per side. Make sure it has a nice round edge all the way around the port to not snag rings. Widen the intake 2mm per side and lower it 2mm. Run a 19mm dellorto PHBG carb with a 3” intake. She should run great. If you need you could also send me the cylinder and I could port it for you. I’m pretty good and porting
@@wtmotobikes8838 Thanks for the reply/info.......with the exhaust raised & widened that much it sounds like a real expansion pipe or at least a BBR/WC80 pipe with larger header would work better than the mz65 clone pipe. That's the first I heard of going 3mm high on the exhaust port. Gonna look up some info on the PHBG carb & intake. Thanks again.
Awesome bro, thanks for the info!
👽👍
Do u mean the ktm sx 85 or any 85 vforce 3 Reed
Specifically the KTM reed only
@@wtmotobikes8838 thanks bro
What do you gain by doing this...the G2 cage looks less restrictive

@@wtmotobikes8838 oh cool I was wondering if it would speed up the velocity having smaller openings like that..

How do you seal the reed block with that little of material on the sides rtv?
.5mm gasket paper seems to seal the reed in the housing pretty well. Squishes the paper tightly
