This video just confirms what I already know. I am an Awesome Dad to my 5 year old daughter. Unfortunately I haven't been able to see her in 9 months due to her mother holding a grudge against me and using my daughter as a pawn to hurt me. I miss her so much

I’m gunna be a first time Dad in December to a little girl. I really want to be a good Dad. Me and the Mother have unfortunately broken up so the advice about not disrespecting my daughters Mom is something to consider.
My daughter was born about the same time as yours. Her mother is my current wife. But I have a previous wife. One thing I think is important is to look for the best in the people of your past. I try not to talk badly of my ex wife even though we didn't have children together. I don't want my daughter to see me disrespecting someone from my past. I know your situation is different. And your ex is very much involved in you and your daughters life. Try and be the person you hope your child can be. Teach her the best way to be. And if we do that, hopefully we can become better as well.
Your advice is preparing this daughter to be alot more delicate than need be , alot of your advice is solid but you follow it up with general information that noone can benefit from but they will listen, if your going to do this do it right, take questions, give specific examples

Im a single dad who took on my daughter at 2 months because she her mum didnt want to do it, im finding it majorly difficult in situations when tantrums start. I find myself crying alot and thats something i never did! I bottled up emotions up all the time! People are telling me im going through hormonal imbalances. Are they correct?
I am not a doctor but there is nothing wrong with you. Emotions and these feelings are normal. Talking with a therapist might be helpful to sort things out.
Major props to you. Society doesn't speak too much on the single dad and you are great for doing that! Your children will grow up realizing the sacrifice you made! Keep going! I will support and subscribe to you.
Honestly is only when they young you can do most of these things with them it creates a bond. In most cases and to most dads I've spoken to say soon as they reach puberty they pull away from dads they turn towards their mom speak about things you'll never know about bro. Some pull away from dad's some come back. Women are strange so men do y'all best with daughters treat your son good stay a lil closer to them

Personally, I believe it’s not only a dad’s right. But also his responsibility to speak against certain outfits his daughter wears. Obviously, don’t be rude about it. But simply just say. I don’t like you wearing such things. And as your father, it’s my responsibility to make sure you wear clothing that encourages men to be more respectful towards you.
Yes, looking out in a positive and supportive way how kids dress is important. but dont set them up for a false attitude that how they dress will encourage men to respect her or that she should be thinking about men in how she dresses. because one as a woman who dresses "modestly" i have gotten plenty of disrespect from the range of personally degrading me because i am a woman and those particular men dont respect any women in general and 2, have still been stalked, harrassed and have had unwanted advances and have been cat called despite how I dressed. Clothing will not protect your daughters at all. A predator will stop at nothing to get what they want. Even women in very conservative and modeslty dressed countries get alot of sexual harrassmetn, rape abuse and general rudness despite how they dress. One things predators look out for is vulnerabilty ie. women and girls with low self esteem and little to know back bone, women and girls who can be easiley be molded into what they want them to be or can be intimidated into silence ie women and girls who blineldy obey perceived authority. Women with little ability to descern peoples characters. Respectful men respect women based on who they are not on what they wear. I have met many of those respectful men , they usually also have alot of female friends who also look differently and are different and they use to be around them based on who they are ie good people, that are kind and intelligent and fun to be around. Also you should be preared that when it comes to girls alot of predatory will precisely look to get a hold of and sexually harrass young girls because they are young and because they are innocent and vulnerable. Predators are destructive people that enjoy the idea of destroying innocent, vuleranble and young people, girls in particular. This means you doesnt matter how she dresses they will prey on her for the fact that she is a girl. Also she shouldnt care for the opinions of men who care more to respect clothing than a human being, those people are not good people in my experience especially because when something bad does happen to you they will not be supportive, protect you or be there for you when you need help but simply blame you even if you did dress "correctly". You know what predators are scared of? Getting hurt and secondly going to jail and lastly getting exposed. So to try and protect yourself learning self defense and having a weapon is good, also having a strong aura and attitude is good, im a small and petite women and i have been able to stare down a couple of predators ie they know that it would be a bloody fight even if they got me and that they would likey get caught, also being loved and being raised with strength gives you and aura that can deter some predators just from loooking at you because they can sense that people will not only protect you but also hunt him down and kill him if he hurt you. Human beings are still animals so alot of non-verbal communication still happens even subcounciously so women and girls who have the non-verbal aura of I will hurt you or kill and I can and or my family "pack" will hunt you down and kill you, deter alot of predators just by this. This is why you need to be careful how "sweet and agreeable" you raise your daughter to be because that only could make her a perfect target for predators. I was also raised to be sweet and agrreabe but only to an extent becaue i was also raised to fight and stand my ground and to hurt people even kill them if they try to attack and hurt me.
Dont say anything negative? , so you should be able to be critical of your daughter, to avoid it is to have not formed a bond solid enough to weather such comments in the 1st place, this guy is not really in touch , although I'm from the UK a single father , maybe its different in the USA
Some aspiration to become better is not a bad thing to teach your kid. Look at the dads who clicked the link to become a better father. So too should you be honest to your daughter. If her hair looks crap, just tell her she could do better or show her. Sure she'll be beautiful no matter what in the eyes of a father but not by society. Prepare her for that because she will hold it against you in the future when looks start to matter
I love my two-year-old so much, and it is a sad day for me to drop her off at her mother's. I want to be there for her as much as I can. I also want her to understand her place in life and to know that men and women are not here to compete but to complete each other. And all this women's power BS is toxic ideas that destroy couples.

What's actually sad is that there isn't much information on UA-cam about being a great father. But you'll find way more videos thrashing father's rather than teaching men how to be father's. Please do a video on the toxic tendency to gender housework among the children. Particularly, don't treat your daughter like a maid/nanny for your other children. This is A BIG ISSUE!
@@DadUniversity its common where i live for girls to be expected to do the house work while the boys arent taught anything about taking care of their personal space, usually the mom does the cleaning for them
I grew up with a similar issue but it wasn’t gender based. My brother and I grew up with our father in Australia and we used to do daily and weekly chores for a small allowance. After moving away to the US to live with our mother, our stepdad expected us to do chores just to live in the house. We had two other half siblings who did not do any chores. At the time I figured it was because they were younger and it would just be easier for us to get the work done. Once we were 18 and done with high school e we’re kicked out of the house. They then hired maids to take over the work I was doing.
