You guys always rock! Great video! I have a 2016 V6 and this is exactly what I want to to. You guys build my confidence with your videos! Appreciate the great job!!!
I have a 19 SS need help on options . Was told can’t put the Borla Atak cat back system on my car bc i have an automatic. So would i need just axel back or axel back and mid pipe ?
There are a lot of different variations to the 2016-2020 exhaust systems. Because of that a lot of manufacturers had to adapt with different kits. You can do a cat-back system but you would have to get the X-pipe and then the muffler system of your choice that works with that X-pipe. Here is a link for the Borla X-pipe that will work for you since you have an Automatic. It will have the brackets for the AFM valves that are in place. www.phastekperformance.com/2016-Camaro-Borla-X-Pipe-Mid-Pipes-AFM-Valve-60610-p/borla-camro-6-x-pipe-60610.htm Now all you have to do is find the muffler system that will fit your Camaro and you are good. Reach out to our sales team and they can get you lined up if you need any help. sales@phastek.com
I had this exact car with this exact exhaust. Everyone including v6 haters complemented the sound. I highly recommend it, and you don’t even hear it on the highway
I put my Ataks on 2 days ago, your video helped a lot. So the clamps only go on the end of new pipe right, even with the end of pipe? Not splitting the new & existing pipe . I put clamp even with end of new muffler where the split is. And tightened the heck out it
I don’t know if you still need this information but yes you can, Borla makes these same exhausts (S-Type and ATAK), all you have to do is follow the same instructions but you’d have to change the diffuser
We can see it voiding the exhaust portion of the warranty coverage but not the full warranty coverage. We would suggest checking with your local dealer just to be sure, some dealers are a bit more strict when compared to others.
Yes, the pinch in the exhaust could effect the sound you will get out of the exhaust. Changing that will open up the exhaust system allowing for a slightly different tone.
We prefer a cat-back system over an axle-back cause of the replacement of the factory system. But some owners are just looking for a sound change and an axle-back does that.
Shouldn't have bought a v6 if you're worried about sound lmao, the price difference for the v8 is so worth it, got my 19 2ss for 34,000, my borla atak comes tomorrow!
Thanks for the video. Watched this and then installed in my driveway. Easy install with the tips you shared. 75 minutes.
AMAZING SOUND!!!
Used car ramps, which gave plenty of room to do the install.

Just got the atak, about to install tomorrow
Can you guys do an install with a Camaro V6 that has the NPP factory exhaust?
We work with some local customers to do these installs. If we get one we will make a video about it.

Si es normal. Awhoooaa

Hello whats going on, I want to remove the rear black diffuser, do I have to remove the whole bumper,? Or are some sort of clips besides the screws?
Can you change from single tip exhaust to double exhaust on the V6 2016 and up camaro?
Will it fit?
I don’t know if you still need this information but yes you can, Borla makes these same exhausts (S-Type and ATAK), all you have to do is follow the same instructions but you’d have to change the diffuser
Does installing the axle back system void factory warranty?
We can see it voiding the exhaust portion of the warranty coverage but not the full warranty coverage. We would suggest checking with your local dealer just to be sure, some dealers are a bit more strict when compared to others.
the pinch in the middle of the stock system, dose that affect the sound quality as well?
Yes, the pinch in the exhaust could effect the sound you will get out of the exhaust. Changing that will open up the exhaust system allowing for a slightly different tone.
Phastek Performance would you recommend the indented part, the pinch get replaces with a straight pipe?
DB ?
Nice!! I have a v6 2016 maro as well. I like the sound of borla. It your opinion what system would recommend for extra HP and a great sound? Cat back

what's the cheapest thing I can do to make my 2018 v6 camaro RS exhaust louder ?
Sell it, the whole car and get a SS
Muffler delete
@@proelitematthew7811 that's a great comment, sell it for an SS and pay around $8000 more to go 9 tenths of second faster to 60.
@@robertjakicic5878 that's a great comment. I got my 2017 as for $27,000. A 2018 rs is for $26,000. And it's a whole fukin second slower😂

the stock tips look better IMO.
Agreed... the borla tips stick out to much too.
Great video!
Hello whats going on, I want to remove the rear black diffuser, do I have to remove the whole bumper,? Or are some sort of clips besides the screws?
To get the rear diffuser off the rear bumper will have to come off. There are some clips that you can not see that are behind the bumper support.
