"lams are more effective when time is slowed down" Well, that's because you're increasing the tickrate of the game when it was designed around 40. The lams have much more time to react since the shell travels less distance after being detected
@@gregorytu8357 lmao i find that 500mm APS spam is amazing against pretty much every craft in the game. Also, have super high firerate APS with a shitton of solid warheads to wear down the LAMS faster. (Im talking 1200 RPM)
Piercing PAC's should work well since you can't actively defend against them, but you can also have a combination of PAC's and small caliber APS. Have you seen the Calamity on the Steam workshop? its meant to defeat the Singularity for a slightly lower cost
AP HE railguns worked suprisingly well for me, when I was testing my new turrets, maybe try to use these HESH shells to grind off the munition warners, then the AP HE shells can do massive damage.
One thing that apparently works very well is a kinetic sandblaster firing low gauge hypervelocity hollowpoint shells with sabot bodies. The AP is reduced a lot, but hollow point does not care about impact angle so they counter the wedge armor and thus may do better than a sabot or AP head sandblaster.
i experimented a lot with the sabot and hallow point head and hallow point is just way too expensive to run and in the space where you would fit boilers, you can fit more gun with sabot heads so is just costs a lot more for a slight bonus which is not worth it if you ask me
Also for the armour, I best result I got is with a layer of 4m beams and a layer with half 4m beams and stack more or less depending on how dodgie is your craft
@@andreimaxim6316 Why do you need more boilers for a hollowpoint gun? Literally all you're doing is swapping the AP or sabot head for hollow point and the solid bodies for sabot.
Note that the Snig is a nightmare to take out with a single vehicle. It pitches to target, so there's no way to do anything but chip away at the armour brick if you can't force it to expose a weaker side.
I will actually point out that the snig actually has 2 LAMS systems - the main LAMS which is set to fire at a longer range, which is mainly situated around the back of the craft, and an emergency set of LAMS at the front which try to zap anything which gets through the main set, which is 1Q iirc. The lasers are also unfortunately affected by a bug which means only one of the barrels on each side can fire.
Sabot= "Say-Bo" is a term the military stole centuries ago to to describe a piece of equipment used for stabilizing weapons/munitions. Since it is a military term, they decide how it is said and they pronounce it "Say-Bo". the 'T' is silent since I think the word is French and that is a silent letter in their language.
can you test out the rods from god weapon system. basically just large or huge missiles that are either fully kinetic for health or mostly kinetic and some fuel and a booster for max speed and max damage. last time i tried this i had 4 huge missiles and was doing almost 2 million damage per missile against the meg. considering the top armor on the sing's top armor is rather poor id imagine you could get that down to medium missiles and around a quarter of the price of the sing per satellite.
IMO the problem with using heat and hesh on snig is the high ac of those wedges for anti-heat and the sheer HP they have in bulk, on top of the angle debuff. Hitting a 4m ha wedge directly from the front has a 0.124x damage multiplier to sabot, ap heads, heavy heads, frags, and heat/hesh frags, which is a pretty harsh detriment. Of course it’ll work eventually, but at that point just use HP or something.
I managed to kill it using brrt high explosives they didn't have much HP per shell but there were so many I was able to oversaturate the lams int he sing and kill it
this is why PAC is superior i have a very big airship which has 6 1000m long pacs with can insta kill it though the problem is that my annialator mk 15 costs 40million and sheds through mats like nothing because of all the steam needed to power 6 max overclock PAC
Funny thing about this ship the amount of heavy armor on this thing can be easily countered and there are so much important components of this ship easily destroy by strong emp, or just rain fragments on it. A AP-EMP railgun or a rapid fire frags railgun shreads its skin and important laser bits. Missile rarely work unless you spam it in very large quantities, I appluad its laser defense and decoy placement and a good lesson on how to use decoys and armoring.

4m wedges tend to underperform and you lose lots of chunks which is free dmg

@@sea_kerman well with HP higher AP is usually better, the sweet spot being 40 and for that you usually need more rail so more energy production

Day three of saying that I appreciate borderwises daily uploads and wanting a from the depths iceberg video as a kind of satire way
And now that I know what an iceberg video is, that is far more likely! I appreciate the appreciation. 😁

Why not take that idea... and make it fly? Less vunerable to torpedos from some other craft.

for all front facing ships: use more than 1 craft
Graviton rams can be super effective against it. You just need to use them to launch something at the singularity.
I tried with a Mass driver but it moves too much, need faster objects

You can set lambs to not shoot certain caliber of shells so you don't use all your lams shooting the useless flack the crossbones is shooting at u
Would a good counter against it, be using 2 Kenetic Railguns, And Pincering it, So one of them is aiming for the back side?
wait how are fuseless penetrators' viable now? i didnt know they even worked at all
They were patched to work the update before the most recent one.
You can use a torpedo that goes under the singularity and then become a missle and hit it under
That could work, if you have a big enough missile.
Or you can go BFG style and PAC the singularity
Tho it's gonna cost alot, but it's worth it as it is a final boss
What about laser sniping all the guns off.
SHOOTA GO DAKKA

make your ciws your main gun.

Anti-Snig. 'Snig' is the nickname some people use for the Singularity. :)
