Voice Techniques: How to Match Pitch | Singing | Vocals | Voice | Berklee Online | Jeannie Gagné
I have a cappella tryouts coming up and I have to match pitch so this really helped!! Thank you!!
Thank you! Good luck.
I have auditions coming at the end of the week, its to place me in a high level choir.🤞 im so nervous
Wow! She knows her instrument so well; being able to be purposedly out of tune isn't as easy as it looks. I think I will aim at having more confidence, but I wonder if too much technique gets in the way of emotions...
It's easy for me! Lol. I've been told I'm typically out of tune. Consistency is tough! It seems I'm either too confident or too shy, depending on the song.
Thanks for the Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Riddleagan Beautiful Melody Remedy (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a great one off guide for improving singing skills without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my best friend Jordan after a lifetime of fighting got great success with it.
technique FREE's the emotion. Because you have control.
Damn she makes music look very easy
This is amazing! I realise now I need to put so much more effort into getting these skills in tune before I worry about my singing!
Thank You i really enjoy this video. I am going to keep watching and try to apply this techniques.
Wicked stuff! Love this!
she's beautiful sensitive teacher thank you
Wow!! You taught me so much in under 4 min....my mind is blown 😃😊🙌✨thank youuuuuuu
I really don't understand how to tell what vocal sound goes with what piano sound. I never learned to sing before so I am very confused.
Oh..she sings so good
I love the way you teach
Thank you so much for these!! I think everyone around me appreciates it too lol
LOVE your tutorials AND you sang for Philip Glass!
Great video!
a note for myself: 2:44
I love this
2:07 THIS BLEW ME AWAY OMG
Thanks!
Would you be interested in making a video that plays lots of different people making a middle C or E, one after another, quickly and separately, so we can focus on hearing the timbre and vocal tone over the intended sound. I think it would help in zeroing in on some of those finer qualities in learning to make sounds that are fuller or richer, or some indefinable qualities that would be illustrated in such an example~
are there certain words or letters that are best to practice matching pitch with? For example, I sings "Deeeeeee" and my tunner is pegged out on E somewhere in the 390 range. When I then try to match that and sing Eeeeeeee, I think I come up with an A or A#. Do Rey Me Fa So La Tea - is just all over the place. So I guess my question is how to practice that, my goal is to be able to sing at a 5th or a 3rd of what my buddy sings at when we play guitar. I believe I am a tenor - at least that was what my piano teacher said.....thanks
Evan
I love studying vocals
Psychic Dove same
What do we do if it is an ear thing? Like I can't hear if I'm off or not. I had to use a tuner to try this.
Same. I’m always just guessing where the note is.
How do I switch between low and high notes smoothly and rember notes so I can sing them back
😍👌👌👌👌
Do you have to be a good singer to go to this collage or do they have vocal coaches?
Hi Nate, thanks for your question. No, you do not need to be an experienced singer. We do offer a Voice Technique 101 course. Voice Technique 101 is an introductory course designed to teach you how to make your voice sound more powerful, how to use vocal technique to expand your range and expression, and how to become more confident in vocal performances. This course is a fantastic starting point for anyone wanting to make the most of their voice. Learn more here: berkonl.in/304kWw2

This was impressive as fuck. Wow.
Just started pitch matching,Think it's stupid!!
I haven’t watched the whole thing yet, but like anyone else just go by the vibrations in your skull, and getting it to match the vibration in the air.... cause that’s what I do...
5% huh.. just wondering where that math came from
The piano is not in tune with itself.
