Using shutter priority or what DJI wants to call Manuel mode is no different than using auto mode with exposure compensation. The only advantage to using shutter priority mode is the 180 rule you can obtain exactly the same exposure using either one with proper adjustment on each one.

I'm in Canada were the drone laws are more strict now, but even in the US I'm pretty sure the rules state that you have to maintain VLOS(visual line of sight). The mini may be under 250 grams but you are still required to follow most of the same safety rules. So I would be careful about publisizing flying beyond VLOS without the proper people in place to help maintain VLOS. And here in Canada flying directly straight over traffic on a major highway is not allowed either. We can cross a highway but flying straight over and parallel is considered unsafe flying. But again I'm not up on the US regulations. Nice video!
@@StefanMalloch Yes, and flying above 400 feet and out of visual line if sight even with a sub 250 gram drone is still considered reckless and/or negligent. 500M? WOW i get over 500 with my Eachine EX5! But thats at high altitude. 390ft or so. Height is everything when it comes to RF! In Ham Radio we say....location, location, location! That is #1 but 2nd is height. Normally the best locations are the ones with height or unobstructed view. Not just metal but trees too! Always keep in mind anything a full wavelength has a affect on any RF signal. Full wave at 2.4 ghz is 5 inches. Full wave at 5.8ghz is 2 inches! Im sure the parabolic help but i am thinking the 2.4ghz yagi / beam type extenders might work best. 2.4ghz has more range normally. Its more.....oh robust. At 5 inch wave length it can penetrate things better than 5.8ghz. The only advantage to 5.8ghz is its bandwidth and less signals to interfere. If i had my choice i would run 433mhz or lower for control and video on 900mhz. Oh but always be mindful of restricted air space! DJI app is awesome as it lets you know but many do not! B4UFLY is essential! Great video!
A word on ND filters; for twenty bucks or less you can buy a meter square of nd gel. That's enough to make a thousand ND filters. ONE ND filter will set you back like $40-80. The same..?
My mavic mini goes maximum 500 meters and it lost connection 😐🙄🙄
Why does yours, like mine, when pointing directly at the drone show it to be 1300 hours on the display bottom center?
Nice tests... I get only 2km with my diy range extender. 👍😄
Hi do you have a 2.4ghz frequency were you are?or is it just 5.8ghz Also do you have a email I could contact you on regarding a product?
Thanks Mike.
The thing at the bottom where i see where my controller is in relation to the mavic i never get this arrow even if i point my controller directly at the mavic mini ist that a common issue somebody has a tip of why that could happen ?
its your phone compass that needs calibration
@@wvoyles ok ty
I’m scared to take it any higher than 120m high and like 140m distance
120m is the legal height limit so don't do that but as far as distance... send it!
Will the signal booster work with the mini 2 does anyone know?
cannot wait for the lens giveaway good luck everyone but I hope I win
Are you testing in the United states???
Canada
Of course not. No one here knows what the hell a meter is... LOL
Nice test with mavic mini, L-S!
Thanks! 👍
@4:20 ideal conditions? uhhmmm, a big NO... Do you not see all the power lines around you? They hurt signal with their interference big time,
You like more with ND filter???????? OMG
LOL, makes a big difference.
Flying outside line of sight and over the highway.... ? Is this how they do it where you're from??
That's how they do it everywhere atleast here where im from, nobody needs to have line of sight lol we go like 4 kilometers
Are you serious? You are showing us on how to get a better range, but you forget the most basic tip, which is pointing the antennas towards the drone!! :)
my current height up to 20 meters only, and range around 200 meters
I got to 980m away with the mavic and on the box it says 4km
Ya 980m is a comfortable distance anyways. 4km is a joke.
@@StefanMalloch yeah but I got that distance in an open field with no interference but in the city it loses connection at around 300m
Pug Life same in city I can’t get pass 500 meters and in a place with no interference around 1.2 km, far off from what’s advertised
@@wicho99w99 same man,in the city I can't fly very far but in an open field I somehow managed to fly almost 4km
Hello my friend , i stop to see your video and make me day happy, very nice work you do , good content too, if you want ,we can be friends to support each other , thanks for share with us your amazing video , With love from 🇹🇩🇹🇩🇹🇩 🤝🤝🤝
Is this fcc?
Mavic Mini Range Extender Test & Better Range Tips! or es about Filter ?
Mantap bro salam kenal 👍✌️🇮🇩
6:23 bruh really
890 m
Nice, but in the city, this has no effect.
A word on ND filters; for twenty bucks or less you can buy a meter square of nd gel. That's enough to make a thousand ND filters. ONE ND filter will set you back like $40-80. So that's $40,000-80,000 worth of ND filters if you had of bought the meter square rather than enriching silly companies exploiting price gouging.
If you have broken drone or not using drone ypu can give it to me because i really really want drone for my cycling
If you dont have that fine 😊
I do not sorry.
Ok that's fine😊
Thank you because i really want to have one😊
I always get around 15,000 feet out of mine
