Technically you described what a proportioning valve does, not how it works: how the spring, piston, valve, and ports are laid out and how they achieve proportional regulation - the key is "proportional" regulation. We all know how regulators work. We all know how you put boost pressure on the atmospheric side of the regulator diaphragm so that regulated pressure is a fixed amount higher than the boost pressure so you can always push fuel into a blow through carburetor. But how do you get proportional regulation? Not clear? But don't feel bad, it seems like no one else has explained this either.
By far the best information you can get on youtube!
This info is all music to my ears. Thank you so much for explaining this to us.
Excellent explaination!
Thank you so much!
