Almost got a bear last weekend with my crossbow in chilliwack....heading out for a day hunt tomorrow....my goal is to leave the 30-06 in the safe and try to harvest my first game animal with crossbow
@@MrLordromanian in the zone !! Congrats . I want to compile photos from the viewers and do an end of season slide show . If u wanna share any pics send em to numenor3018@gmail.com with a brief description
Thanks- I always enjoy your videos. we got 2 deer this year, which is nice- usually we get Moose but no deer! Region 7. Leaving for Region 5 this weekend!
Found lots of tracks around and only one buck but not a shooter going to try my local area for a blacktail this weekend hopefully can put some meat in the freezer.
Love your videos man as well as your personality haha please teach me your ways haha I am.new to hunting this will be my first year ever!!!! Can't wait to see more of your videos
Hey appreciate the feedback. Super cool. I am excited for you to be getting into hunting. Hardly anything better than spending time in the woods. Keep me posted on how the season goes for you. Spring bear not too far away now
@skyedge6158 absolutely! And yes spring bear is comming. Super nervous for sure !! I had a question you've hunted all over bc have you ever come to powell river!?
@@justusdekort6426 nothing to be nervous about. Practice with your rifle and also work on boar from sow identification. I've not hunted in Powell river but you should have good blacktail and black bear hunting in that area
@skyedge6158 that's the plan practice practice get the new rifle all sighted in and practice my 50 100 150 200 yard shots owned alot of rifles none with a scope haha, been reading up on bear identification make sure I know what I'm doing still nervous from taking an animal to feild dressing and so on!! But will learn. And you should come to powell river for hunt take me with you 👌
Hey thanks for the comment. Your best bet and most trusted tool will be a good GPS unit. Phones with apps such as iHunter are also a great backup. I take landmarks and keep a general sense of direction, still it's easy to get turned around. I would recommend not straying too far from roads or trails until you get more comfortable. The availability of Cell service is also a big factor on how far you will want to push it. Good luck !
Been a good season in region 7 so far. 328 inch 6x6 bull elk plus a 6 and a half foot bear in September, and a big 5x4 whitetail buck in October. Now for a big muley to round it all off in November ;)
just got my whitetail doe! ended up getting a moose draw too, so next week im goin moose hunting with my dad. that'll be rad. ps great video! youre my favourite hunting channel on youtube
Shot a whitetail doe region 8, let it go at first then turned around and decided to go for it after it walked way up the slash another 100 yards or so. Decisions can be tough when you are on your own out there.
Love your videos man keep em comin ! What do you think of those cams ? I’m looking at that same 3 pack from cabelas on sale for $149.98 from $269.99 Reviews say their garbage hence the sale price
I have had the best experience with Browning cams. The stealth cams don’t always hold the dates and can sometimes malfunction.. browning are not cheap but are reliable, easy to use and record in HD. Thanks for watching the vids and good luck this season!
@@skyedge6158 it has definitely warmed some, in the last couple days, and is continuing, it looks like. But any upper elevations got a wallop of snow last week. I turned around when the snow was coming over my hood, last week. But, the weekend saw the usual weekend brigade of hunters everywhere, so they should have pushed tracks through most areas, i would guess.
Went to Zone 3 last Friday, coming back last night, so fucking cold during night. Aimed a coyote but didnt shoot because it looked like a cuite. Did not see any deers but footprint, it is tough deer hunting in winter.
Hahaha that's funny with the coyote. The deer are there .. sometimes it just takes time . This video is a prime example. Don't give up. Prime time right now !
I'm currently in Region 3. It's a struggle, I've seen one doe the past 2 weekends out here. Haven't seen a single buck all season and I've been out probably 6 times now. Any advice? Lol
Well it has pretty darn warm this October .Usually doesn't make for good hunting. It should start getting better any time now, the bucks will start to rut and are more likely to show themselves. Get yourself a wind checker (little powder spray bottle) and let that determine your path of travel. Last tip: don't give up !
@@skyedge6158 Thanks. Haven't given up yet, just low moral. Been grinding hard. Still a bit of a newbie to hunting so I imagine that plays a part in my lack of success. I have one maybe 2 more days out here so I hope my luck will turn.
Nice hunt! I haven't tagged out this season yet, but there is still time. My two sons harvested a young bull moose up near Mackenzie , and had to pack it out a couple of klicks. That was a really long day, they left town at 4:30 am and got back the next day at 4 am. Back to your hunt, did you get any pics of animals on your cams ?
Any one having success this season!? Lets hear it!
Not yet, been hunting blacktails in region 2
Went out on the Island (1-10) for a whole week. Three guys going out every morning and evening. Other then 3 Grouse, absolutely nothing :(

You must be at work. Where are the interesting vids?? Dry moose hunt in 7-24 this yr. due to spike bull only.
Haha no. I have been hunting ... Got a few vids to edit and post, I'm a little behind. Too bad about the moose, still time to get out for a deer tho !
