Thanks for your persistence to thoroughly test each scenario for every case that comes by your work bench, many other youtubers quickly move onto the next product, its a rare dedication not seen in many, thanks man
This channel is due to blow up. You put out some of the most thorough and clear info on SFF builds on you tube. Your research is indispensable to builders, and 99.9% us of us would never go to this level of trouble ourselves to figure this stuff out.
I have no idea why the YT algorithm hasn't showed me this before. I've been watching tons of M&M and Meshlicious videos lately. I happen to have one with a BS3 fitted with a MasterFan. It fits just like a glove. I had to drill the screw holes so the heads sit 1mm lower, but it was pretty painless.
For those interested in the IS-60 EVO: The Noctua L9a (AM4) backplate will work with the IS-60 EVO. From discussions in threads I've seen, the backplate assists in providing adequate mounting pressure that the screws alone against the motherboard cannot ~ ultimately aiding cooling performance due to better contact. Additionally, supposedly ID-Cooling is providing backplates for the cooler, not sure if you have contact them directly and pay the small fee for the part + shipping.
Backplate is the reason i return my id cooling IS-50 MAX. It's a good cooler, enough for ryzen 3300x but without backplate it doesn't feel sturdy like general air cooler. I get big shuriken now and have no complain even after upgrading to 5600x.
My favorite thing about your content is how you continually improve. Filming, lighting, sound, etc. =) Also, please stop making with want one, you already got me on the NR200 lol
These Meshlicious videos are just golden to me. Thank you for making them. I would also like to see if you would Dare to get a 3.5 HDD into the Meshlicious Case build Really Curious about how that'll be. Keep up the golden work and beautiful stuff you've been roling out.
Cheers! Well, it can fit- you need to be using a “SFF” gpu in the horizontal mode. But I think this config will be the extreme minority of users. With a vertical GPU that is a seriously difficult fit, in fact I don’t think it will fit… and for SFF external enclosures are way easier anyhow. 😎
Thanks for this specific and well executed clip. I'm in the process of building my SSUPD Meshlicious S with an Asrock SONIC B760M PG, will this options of coolers fit?
I bought the IS-60 thanks to your review, indeed, it is the best low profile cooler out there. I was however curious how it would perform with only the 92mm fan in cases of extremely tight cases, how well it would compete in the 45mm height category.
The Alpenföhn Black Ridge should fit with the new Phanteks T30. Alpenföhn cooler, Noctua backplate, Phanteks fan, ThermalGrizzly paste. Could just be the best aircooling setup.
actually considering about this setup but with the thermalright axp120 if you do have an intel setup I would certainly hope if you can try the heat from the i7 12700k
Try to build custom loop watercooled Ryzen 9 5950x + RTX 3090 system in this case(use 2× 280mm radiator, one front and one in side panel). I think its possible.
Do you have a recommendation for a cooler and fans for a meshlicious + 12900KF + 3080TI (founder's edition)? Or would you not go air cooler for them? I'm very interested in as quiet and stable a build as possible.
Awesome video! Do you think the Scythe Big Shuriken 3 would be a strong enough air cooler for a Ryzen 7 5800x? Looking to build something similar, but with a little bit stronger of a cpu for animation and editing. Thanks!
How much of an improvement would be replacing id-cooling is-60 evo 120mm fan with the one from scythe? I am building pc from an aesthetic point of view, so I like the look of scythe fan, but don't want to sacrifice performance
It cannot. The clearance becomes too low for even a stock BS3. At that height there are a few options such as the stock AMD stealth cooler but no serious options. If you’re doing it for cable management and you have a 2 slot card I might recommend just shifting the card out and leaving the board as is, and just use that extra space in between.
I would go flat at 1000 RPM, ramp to 1500 RPM for heavy loads. Where that ramping begins and ends would depend on your typical usage; if gaming then I’d figure out typical gaming temps and have the case fans running harder at those temps to help the GPU out. Given the slant towards GPU power consumption in a modern gaming system, it makes more sense to index based on GPU temps with compatible software or a temp probe, but typically CPU temps are good enough.
Stop making these videos! No one is putting an air cooler in a meshlicious 🤣 If you want to help people out and give some good information, compare some AIO ideas and testing... it’s 2021 not 2012

I don't even care about air coolers. But I'm here for the content and low-fi
As a meshlicioius owner, huge thanks for doing all these videos!

Using the Noctua backplate with my Alpenfoehn Blackridge - definitely required for proper firm contact.

nice video as usual. Thanks for clarifying the BS3 with regular 25mm fan. Great!
Really like your recent reviews, keep the good work! Thanks!
I love to watch your videos to relax
Awesome video bro, I’ve been struggling to figure out which one to buy.
PS: Love the music

I have a L12s with an extra slim 120mm fan on top. Panel closed even though cooler sticks out further than the case :)
Such good content man. Keep it up!

The T30 is 30mm thick
@@reallycarson What's the clearance for b550i strix with black ridge? I was hoping to try this setup
Don't forget custom top and rear fan mounts. They're on etsy
nice video thanks for this. will you male the same video for the new ssupd meshroom s ?
actually considering about this setup but with the thermalright axp120
if you do have an intel setup I would certainly hope if you can try the heat from the i7 12700k
I decided to become an open chassis enthusiast and run a Grandis 3 ARGB
Im planing to intall a 7950X on this case and my wet dream is to put an air cooler, Could it be possible?
What if you have a Ryzen 9 3900xt? I need reliable cooling options that won't break the bank.
Try to build custom loop watercooled Ryzen 9 5950x + RTX 3090 system in this case(use 2× 280mm radiator, one front and one in side panel). I think its possible.
Yeah, it is provided you can side mount a 240 or 280, I’ve seen it done before!

Waiting for meshroom S to come
Doesn't want itx,matx/atx mobo is all i need
Maybe I'll reuse is40x v2 for it
Would I be able to stream 4k while playing games with this build?
Probably OK as long as you use the NVENC encoder! 4K30 I’m assuming.
How much of an improvement would be replacing id-cooling is-60 evo 120mm fan with the one from scythe? I am building pc from an aesthetic point of view, so I like the look of scythe fan, but don't want to sacrifice performance
Nice video mate, so I presume with the '' be quiet SHADOW ROCK LP Low Profile '' 75mm total height it will be alright , maybe
Probably fine, it’s outside spec but as you have seen with the mesh there’s a lot of give.
@@MachinesMore thnaks mate !
how about not to use two front intake fans? in this case the only fan would be the cpu cooler. Would this be enough?
Question after watching your full guide, will stand off mode can be done with big shuriken 3 and Noctua NF-A12x25?
It cannot. The clearance becomes too low for even a stock BS3. At that height there are a few options such as the stock AMD stealth cooler but no serious options. If you’re doing it for cable management and you have a 2 slot card I might recommend just shifting the card out and leaving the board as is, and just use that extra space in between.
what's your general recommendation on case fans, run them on PWM or static speed? (Noctua NF-A12x25)
I would go flat at 1000 RPM, ramp to 1500 RPM for heavy loads. Where that ramping begins and ends would depend on your typical usage; if gaming then I’d figure out typical gaming temps and have the case fans running harder at those temps to help the GPU out. @@MachinesMore There are very few videos out there on this topic, so thanks!
Are these done without a stand off mod? (Sorry new to SSUD Mesh platform)
Yeah- the standoffs would reduce the height clearance quite a bit for air coolers.
