- My Honeydew this week is Jodie Sweetin! You know her from Full House and Fuller House, but you can also catch her on her own podcast, “How Rude, Tanneritos.” Jodie returns to Highlight the Lowlights of her journey going into perimenopause, opening up about what it has been like to experience such confusing changes from her late 30’s to now. If going through a second puberty (that you didn’t know about) wasn’t hard enough, we also discuss the complexities of it lining up with your children going through their own changes. From throwing plastic lemons to crying over squirrels, Jodie shares some of the raw moments perimenopause has brought on, and how it’s teaching her to embrace the changes that come in this season of her life.

Holy crap! I am her... she is me...! THANK YOU for this episode!!! All of us 40 somethings really needed to hear it! :)
Our mother’s “second puberty” was hell on our family. But I guess being able to have kids is a worth while trade off.
Seriously. Had no idea this is what could be happening. I just thought being impatient, spacey, and mildly mean was who I am now. I guess it is who I am…but at least there’s an explanation!
I had NO clue to even begin to think all these changes could be from perimenopause. I had heard of it but knew nothing - I just thought perhaps cell phones had fried my brains and I no longer am a nice person. Thank you for this Jodie - thank you for shedding light, for normalizing and shifting the light on these changes. For making those of us going through this aware of what could even be happening. I’m a 40 year old lady with brain fog, a toddler, no energy, ADD like a motherflower - this was so enlightening.
I love Jodie's episodes. She is one of my favorite guests. As a 90s kid she is iconic. I hate these horror stories she's telling me about what my life will be like in roughly 10 years. Lmao but she's the best. Ryan you should hook her up with LeeAnn. I would love to hear a conversation between them. And I'm sure LeeAnn could be a helpful resource to her in this new phase of her life.
Omg 😭 I'm watching this crying. I'm 39. This last year has been a TERRIBLE Roller coaster of dysregulation, debilitating depression, and awful adhd symptoms. Thanks for the awareness. I really did think I was just a complete failure and broken. How do I tell the people in my life?
As another woman in her 40s I plan on sharing this episode with them, thinking Jodie explained it best
I am a single, childless 43 year old biological man and Jodie Sweetin has started making me wonder if I am also perimenopausal...
Underrated comment 😂😂😂😂
Been in love with Jodie for 35 years.
Regular Female listener here, important information. Learned something new today lol
Ryan's eyes are closed today, haha!
he smoked that ⛽️ 🔥
I think he tokes before like every ep. Or his eyes just look like that naturally.
They smoked a bone before they filmed you know it. 😂
That emotion and look is “I can lead you to water, but I can’t tell you you’re a feminist”
Only only 12 mins in, as a newly 41 year old, I'm so grateful to hear this. Thx for sharing Jodie
Shoot… It took me 20 minutes to notice the notification when this ep posted… How Rude!😁
Loved TGIF growing up! So glad to see Jodie doing so awesome.❤️
I hope they filmed a Wayback episode too.
I like her more and more!!!! Obviously had a crush on her since I was a kid like every other 40 year old, but she’s so likable and hilarious too!! Thanks, Ryan!!!
Every 40 yr old woman needs to watch this. And EVERY man that is a denier of what these women experience needs to watch this!!! VALIDATION!!!
No one denied this why are yall acting like the world is against you on this. Also I’ve known about this since like highschool health class so idk why you females are ignorant to it 😂
I was super pumped once I heard Jodie start talking about perimenopause. I'm thankful that it's starting to be talked about more & more. With all the nitty gritty that comes with it. Thanks Ryan for another great episode!!
Definitely glad you talked about this. Helps me understand what's going on right now.
I’m going to be 40 this year and have been looking into perimenopause a lot recently lately. I appreciate this episode so very much. I love Ryan. Your laugh is amazing
Man I love this podcast
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 40, and full freaking menopause at 41. What Jodie says is true.... hormones makes the ADHD so much worse. Meds barely help anymore. I've tried so many, and now I am committed to developing strategies and skills, and preparing myself and my loved ones for the changes. Adapting my self and my life for whatever new and worsening challenges may come. Good luck!!
Thank you Ryan! For bringing the laughter to all the bad things in our lifes! Thank you for your podcast - I really enjoy it every time! It is a lesson to learn for everybody 😊
46 and I feel this. I cried over putting my dogs harness on wrong the other day. I’m like who am I? Jodie is adorable I enjoyed this episode so much. Ryan is just a great human.
I was bit by a baby squirrel in high school… And I still have a major love for these little critters… There’s feeding stations and watering stations all over my yard. I feel you,Jodi!!!!
Damn….. Jodie is an all time Honeydew guest. Funny, real, put it all on the table, awesome human. The highest of highs, lowest of lows, she legit has a lifetime of stories to tell and I will be here to listen to each and every one of them #1982kids
Thank you both for doing this. Love the sharing. History needs to be heard, seen, and for all of us experienced
Ive never cared as much about squirrels until her emotional story.
Started progesterone at 38 and it changed my life.
I watch every week. This is one of my favorite podcasts! This episode really got me. I am a 42 year old woman and I found everything so helpful. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest. Thank you to you both!
14:15 gotta love the stoner smile 😆
Amen I'm going thru peri menopause
Love this episode and loved her first episode with you. The way you just let your guests open up and be themselves is such an amazing talent you have... Honey Dew fan forever!!
WOW just now realizing this was a thing for my mom! I thought she was losing her mind and she totally acted like a teen in my teenage years! I wish she was here so we could talk about it!
On a personal level, i loved the lockdown. Noone expected you to participate in extroverted madness. The difficult part vid the whole Covid journey was to see how it affected other people.
Thank you SO much for talking about perimenopause. I just turned 41 and I’m in the throws of it. It can be miserable.
Hey watching squirrels get their homes destroyed, then having a backyard refugee crisis does sound sad. I dont blame you.
I'm like five minutes in and based on your comment... Shits gonna get wild😅
Aah, but what’s the ironic, root cause of this “sadness” towards nature’s plight? Humans.
Human expansion is the contributing factor behind the continued loss of wildlife habitat. The irony comes in when people (like Jodie) CHOOSE to live in places that are primed for the inevitable destruction of said wildlife habitat.
Don’t want to be included in this low-rung, critical thinking (and to call it “critical thinking” is a joke)? Be a person that lives in the midst of a densely populated city. Guaranteed these kind of silly, emotional, wildlife musings never happen to them.
Thank you Jodie. As a part of your cohort who also watched you on TV, i cant explain how much it means to me to hear you talk about how you live your life today. I also love legos and was cautious about telling people so i didnt get found out and called a nerd. I love all my stupid nerdy qualities and i appreiciate you being a champion for living however you decide to live your life. Be happy, and dont be a dick. Much love and respect to the both of you.
Yeah, lego came back with a vengeance during the pandemic, it started with just the stuff that sat in my parents attic for 25 years, but now I've just randomly been treating myself to more. I don't even have space for it in my house.
@@tithund hell yeah, lets just all stay kids forever...while somehow also being responsible 🤷♂
Sickler is one of the few humble dudes out there.
This was such a meaningful conversation to me as a 39 yo.
meanwhile im trying to get a diagnosis for my forgetful unstable crazy brain. at 39. this may be life changing for me and definitely will be for so many woman!!!! my god I love Jodie!
I never thought I'd give a shit about Jodie Sweetin, but this was incredibly entertaining.
Jfc
Ok this makes so much sense to me why I’ve been acting like a 14 yr old teenager the last couple years too
Thanks for the EP
Much needed topic and chat!
Love this episode. Going through the same thing. 😊
She and I are the same age AND I could NOT RELATE TO THIS MORE!!! SENT IT TO MY HUSBAND. I CANT REALLY EXPLAIN IT BUT SHE DID. AWESOME.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dude, that thumb nail made me think. It was that haauk Tu girl…. Fucking internet
One way to support the Lego habit would be to become one of those people that builds miniatures for the parks
I appreciate the topic... Didn't know I was going through peri menopause. I've been dealing with COVID and the rapid succession deaths of my dad mom and brother.
what a fucking g
bro said he wants jodie on again recently and he already did it
Good mornin folks
Great episode
I had such a crush on her when I was four years old. I think it's coming right back to me.
Ryans baked lol
I love Jodie ❤️❤️❤️
Omg I have been bruising constantly I guess I better start taking some iron 🎉
I think I would be more worried about those squirrels taking up new residents in my attic or walls now that there homeless 😮
When my mum went through that she forgot to drive 🚗
I love this man
The very reason I ended up watching full house one handed a lot of the time
Fuck yeah Jodie! This is amazing and so eye opening!!
Dam Stephanie Tanner in menopause, what world is this? Where did the time go?
I've always said that, while you does often equal its own kind of beauty, there's just something about a woman age approximately 40 to 45 that is a sweet spot. They still have Youth and looks and can physically do everything they've done for the most part but they dgaf. They walk in the room with a certain kind of confidence that is just so striking. Wear are those rainbow earrings girl!
Poor Jodie looks like she's about to cry through this entire episode!! Homegirl needs to talk to an endocrinologist about getting her hormones regulated
☝🏼♾️😇💙🖤 the best laugh in the industry
Ryan blink 3 times if your being held against your will
My crush❤❤❤. I love her
I gotta admit that Jodie was just "that annoying kid" from Full House to me growing up. But since she's shown up in Ryan's life I can't help but be damned impressed by her. First off she's gorgeous. Second she's got a great personality. Honestly I think I could just sit at her feet and listen to her tell stories for hours. Jodie seems so genuine. F**K the Crab Feast. Five Stars!
I had a huge crush on her when i was little and i still do to this day =)
She’s sooooooo lovely eh
Is that the Hawk tuah girl?
Love you sic
I teach 7th grade and yes
That was when I started getting the urge to cry in the middle of class for no reason. Everything changed that year.
❤
tea is for two
This somebody off full house?
This woman has so many bad ideas in her head. I feel sorry for her for how completely ignorant she is of reality.
Jodie!!! Such a hottie
The cutness. I'm so in love
I had the biggest crush on her when I was a kid. Always wondered what happened to her
Thank you for spreading the truth, Jodie❤
Whats up with the eyelid tho?

That feeling you have is called delusion

Gotta let Ryan talk a little bit.
How do females not know about this and I do as a 24 year old male. Y’all really just don’t pay attention huh
would she not interrupt the host as much as is. thanks
What?
I exited at 5:50 when she said "not many studies are done, because we're women" or something along those lines. I'm not listening for 50 minutes of that lol
Short interview too, only 50 minutes even Ryan probably thought "let's wrap this one up early"
Hard Pass
Tice Nits
I’ve done all this as a man. Maybe I’m perry menopausal.
No I don’t have an over paid doctor to ell me everything that is wrong with me. Lol
Can't wait to hear what the woke, addict has-been has to say
lol why you say that bro
All she did was complain 😭
Anyone Rocking the 🌈 is always hard to take them serious 🤡
I can't imagine going through adult life judging people because they have some rainbow earrings on.... It's almost like you are the snowflake 🤔
That's a strange take, my man
@@idonttiptoe1519 no it's not you 🤣you just want to look like Mr save a ho
This was the most bizarre interview 😒
Rare L
Ugh she really has nothing to grieve about it's just nonsense emotions and she has a good life where as some of us suffer through existence and are grieving for things we've lost and how existence is just struggle and suffering 💔 so that's gonna suck to have those emotions exacerbated especially with my ADHD
narcissist alert...way to dismiss her feelings and validate your own. Attention deficit hyperactive disorder I have in spades..use it as a super power not a disability cupcake
