It was originally going to be just those 40 or so seconds, but how could I not extend it just a bit. It’s got Delia Derbyshire, it’s got Peter Howell, Dominic Glynn and Keff McCulloch. Anything more and my head would pop! Enjoy!

Found this after watching "The Star Beast" on BBC One. Absolutely fantastic mix, after a fantastic episode...Who is back! And it's back with style!

True story... I replaced the Capaldi theme with this in my DW archive. It drops right in over the top of the old one. Cubase... sync to first bong on each track and remux to video. Could not resist adding the "shush-shush" right at the end. Awesome work Peter... love it.
Anyone thinks this is better than what we have has the new official theme?✋✋ I certainly do. It actually feels like a celebration of 60 years! Blending all of the intros together is a brilliant idea. And you can actually hear the creepy spooky synth line in it too. Far to long it has been buried under the mix of such heavy, bombastic orchestration.
The 60th anniversary wasn’t a celebration of 60 years. It was a celebration of RTD’s return. It fell so flat in comparison to the 50th Anniversary. This is the first time I’ve been critical of RTD. He needs to sharpen his ideas up with Ncuti Gatwa’s run otherwise this series is toast.

@@GogReviewstotally agree. I worked on the 50th celebrations in London, there was so much hype then compared to the damp squib we got for the 60th.

I like the new official theme, but this experiments in so many cool ways, way more than the official new theme, so much so that I'm like "I thought THAT was a combination of past themes?! No, this is!"

I feel like The Star Beast's music and title sequence has become the one where everyone has said "Others could do it better", and both David's and your work is the truth to that statement. Strong bassline, expertly adding in motifs from previous themes while still making this version of the theme unique. All in all, this version is absolutely fantastic!

I dunno how they came up with the one they did. It's such a massive disappointment. Episode was alright, though. Not fantastic, but good.

Certainly more of an anniversary theme than what we got! In my humble opinion!

The key changes from 1:30 are unique to the DW theme and totally work. Would've appreciated a bit more nod to the Matt Smith chorals, and Peter Capalidi synths.
I absolutely refused to watch any new doctor who content before i saw the specials because i wanted my first time hearing the new theme to be on the day and im so glad i did cause now i get to hear and enjoy these awesome remixes. The new theme is pretty cool. It reminds me of the HardWire song "The Tardis Entity"
I do rather enjoy how many different elements you sewed together and it still sounds good. I salute you Peter.

Could.someone please help, a youtube contributor has used this take on the theme.and made a 60th anniversary video with 3 intros on the video using a cool combination of.all.the sequences over the 60 years of the show , it was really cool with a Hartnel start that was seamlessly blended in to.the rest of the sequences
