    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I opened my MistKing and stared at the manual blankly. I guess I just don't learn that way. I crossed my fingers that there would be someone kind enough to film a step by step so a noob like me could understand. And here you were! Thanks for the help, I was able to set mine up and get it running :)

    I was on the fence about getting a mistking and this video steered me in the right direction.There is one on to my house right now! Ive also had a few monsoons and a few repti-foggers. The foggers both broke in under a month and the monsoon lasted 2 months of *light* misting, and flooded my tank out of no where when i had it on low misting settings.

    Can you hook up the power adapter directly to the pump (bypassing the timer) if I wanted to use my own controller/timer? Or does it need to connect pump > timer > power?

    • @MikeTytula

      I'm not sure, I've never tried it.

      Just set mistking timer to always on and send the whole mistking power cord to your separate timer. Idk why youd need to do it but thats what i would do. Also you could just give up, always an option, ha jokin, for the boys

      @@Tophadellic I've been running it directly connected to a herpstat 4 for the last 3 years after I asked this question. I just wanted more control using the hybrid mode on the herpstat 4 with the humidity probe. It has been working flawlessly!

    Hey mike! Will a mist system like the Exo terra monsoon that I have, keep my chameleon hydrated?

    Hey I don't know if this video is like super old but I had a question for you mike. I am purchasing a mistking this coming Friday and I have a glass terrarium (tall) I also am aware a screen cage is preferred but the glass is more suitable for where I live. Would the mistking be setup just fine in this glass terrarium? It does have holes for tubing to go in but will it fit? I don't wanna buy the best and most expensive mister and then not have it work for my terrarium. Please if you see this comment please help me or someone who sees this comment.
    Thank you :)

      Ya I use on my frogs as well, as long as there is a hole large enough for the nozzle to attach to you are good

    That sort of set up for a chameleon cage? Water ever get outside of cage, how bout cage bottom? I know chameleon feet bottoms can not get wet for long periods of time. I would use these misters for plants in tanks or frogs. But good set up video

      It certainly can I recommend building a base for the cage, with a drainage tray.

      Not really no!

    • @SirCornFlakess
      @SirCornFlakess 5 років тому

      SlimeHunter101 beardies do not need high humidity levels as their natural habitat is more of a dry climate. Therefore I would highly HIGHLY recommend to NEVER use a mister on a bearded dragon!
