That is a very planned work of meat industry in America. From raw meat through processing to consumers, it is one handful of a work.
Admiring men & women who do it continuously keeping quality & quantity. And mind it, all this been done in 1950s when there were no computers and internet...
    Hats off

By the hands of millions of european immigrants that were taken advantage of by the demons that ran this horrid place. "The jungle" by upton sinclair was released in 1906 and was based on this exact company. This place was built on the backs of poor helpless people that were promised a better life and in turn were treated like the cattle they were slaughtering.

Thank you so much what a wonderful documentary and no plastics used at all back in the good old days when we made stuff well and people actually cared about quality

16mm Kodachrome film gives this appearance. Wide Screen Panavision in 1963 gives another appearance. Even back then it was a wide screen they wanted movie houses to upgrade to, like just recently in our day and age.

They received electric shock on the third floor of the Killing House, then were dismembered and cut to pieces on the conveyer as the carcasses traveled down. Animal rights activists would be outraged by the cruelty today. Of course, rats and insects would be mingled in with the meat. Read Upton Sinclair's book "The Jungle".
