He is naturally honest, engaging and unpretentious. Sorry to learn of his knee replacement. He looks very healthy and singers should strive to become world class athletes. I wonder if some yoga instructor coerced him to push his body too far, which often happens. The untucked shirt with the jacket humanizes this Godly supernova of a man. Why I highly respect Sir Thomas Hampson is, that he communicates and teaches on the highest academic level, based on loads of experiences, researches, theoretical and actual/practical knowledge. Very very rare. Academic means exactly that, what he’s able to represent: highest knowledge about music, vocal repertoir, languages, literature, human physics and psychology related to practical singing and perform, furthermore ability to help and teach with them in 100%.
