Hey guys, You seem like someone who could answer this.. Could the EGR pipe come from downstream of the DPF rather than off the exhaust manifold. Wouldn't this keep the Soot out of the intake and engine and eliminate a lot of problems? Why not?
As far as I know at this time, the Duramax 3.0L LM2 and the new LZO use the SCR on F, which is the SCR catalyst with the Diesel Particulate Filter as one. After exhaust travels through this SCRF, it is routed to the EGR cooler and the EGR.
