  • ► THE EXPLORE: So this £3,000,000 Mansion is an amazing place. I enjoyed how tranquil the location was when we were there. It's such a shame that it's been left to rot.
► SITE HISTORY: Bryan Forbes and Nanette Newman were both incredibly famous in their own right, but of the two Bryan was probably more well known. As the director of such classics as "Whistle Down the Wind", "The L-Shaped Room" and "The Stepford Wives".
Unfortunately, he passed away in 2013 and for whatever reason is wife no longer lives at this address. Now this huge £3,000,000 mansion is just left empty and decaying.

How on earth do they get access to these properties, it's unforgivable to be left to degrade as it has. These two obviously haven't a Clue!! who Brien Forbes & Nanette Newman were. How appallingly sad to see her books just discarded in the garden. Whoever owns this property now should be absolutely ashamed themselves. I certainly hope Nanette Newman never sees this.

Kudos to those police for acting so understanding, if all cops treated situations on individual merit we wouldn't be in such a mess with unwarranted arrests and millions of pounds wasted along with time and effort. They are the type of officers I'd go out my way to assist. Other forces and officers should take note, treat people like you want to be treated, it's not difficult. Great video.

Sold in 2018 for 8.8 million but sold 4 years prior to that for 13 million read that from an article in the telegraph no doubt sold by Nanette Newman to a developer awaiting demolition and planning permission not a bad return on the 7k she paid for it in the 50's

@Irish Raine Thanks for the info, dunno why i didn't get a notification for this comment. Very strange. Yeah I can't find a cause of death unfortunately. I suppose it's something family don't want out there and I can respect that. I did find out after we went that he actually passed away in the house which is really sad. I do feel bad exploring a house when that sort of thing has happened. But at the time we didn't know. In terms of the house being stood empty. All I know is that Nanette Newman moved out in 2015 because she didn't want to have a house that size all to herself. Maybe through sentimentality she kept the house. I'm not sure why it never became another home. I wish it had. The place was gorgeous.

Tazer Urbex He died after a long illness from smoking related emphysema and a complex heart condition. He died in the house with a Puccini aria playing and the garden in full bloom. She moved because she couldn’t deal with the sadness that the memories she had being in the house with him brought her now she was without him. She sold the house but everything she had from the old house went with her to her new house. In fact she still writes books at her husbands old desk. This information came from interviews she did in 2017 talking about her new book and how she was forging a new life without her husband. Sadly it is going to be demolished as planning consultants have secured planning permission for a 35,000 sq ft contemporary house.

Hi guys, I get what it is you do and it is fascinating to watch. I have seen quite a few videos where guys go into derelict buildings, Cinemas, holiday camps etc. The police were amazing with you. My point is this is a mansion of a famous couple. You gain access, so are you breaking in? It is obvious from your video that people have been in before. It`s great that you look but don`t steal, you look and leave alone. Are you not worried that you are advertising this place for looters who will come in and wreck or take stuff? I am surprised the power is still on. It is sad to see this building left to rot. Stay safe guys, thanks for sharing.

It must be great to have the money to walk away from a £3,000,000 Mansion! i think they do need to sell it or board it up quick given the low level graffiti starting. It'll only be a matter of time before it's trashed. A lovely house though, you can tell at one time it was a real hive of activity, family and living life. I love the Wisteria on the front. It's a shame about those unpublished books. I think Nanette Newman is an age now bless her.
