Why can't we push rewind. 😊

I remember getting this for Christmas around 16 years old. I lived in a small town in Tennessee. I was a rebel because I was a young man wanting to listen to Madonna!!! LOVE HER STILL. GO MADONNA and thanks for showing that young man he could live life on his own terms.
I was 12 when I got my copy of this album... Even then I knew that I was different.. Madonna was a maverick, an icon, and someone that I looked up to in those early years.. She gave me the the strength I needed to never doubt who I was on the inside and the courage to come out when I was 19... For that I will forever be in her debt. I have a feeling Madonna would just say.. if we were ever to meet "Just be true to yourself.. That's all anyone can ask.. And of course.. Absolutely, no regrets!"

Madonna stood her ground and refused to alter her show and threatened to cancel it altogether if the police did not back down... They told her that was her choice to cancel.. Madonna then rightfully told them. "I nor any of my people will be making the announcement. You can go out and tell the audience the show is not happening!" She knew full well that the fans waiting to see her would have rioted.. and rightfully so.. So the police backed down and her show went forward as Madonna had envisioned it!

This was my 1st Madonna album too. I think I was about 10 yrs old when I bought it. I had bought 'Like a Prayer' as a single a year or 2 before. But this was the album that really got me into Madonna. I ended up being a huge fan for many many years (I started to listen to her newer music less after Confessions on a Dance Floor'.

Each one gave me strength to keep fighting in their own unique ways, and learning all of the dance moves to perfection . I'm a bit surprised she didn't include "Who's That Girl". It was a huge hit in 1987 but despite that this compilation is phenomenal. Every song is The HIT of the hits!

I love this album, I still listen to it repeatedly nowadays. It contains rearranged versions of her 80's biggest hits. _Papa Don't Preach_ is still my favourite so far. I still wish to see Madonna singing _Rescue Me_ live one day, another underrated gem off her "immaculate" catalog.

I was 6 yrs old and i bought my first madonna single which was like a virgin and the second was true blue, i had such a crush on madonna n still do, the music, style and life and how luckey we all were to of lived through such a cool era will be cherished by many for sure, and ive still got my albums to this day.
