Rear window curtain is missing, but it has uv cut glasses, which work great in hot sunny long Highway drives. I have found this very helpful in 2016 Baleno which I used 4 yrs, mostly for day long highway runs.
1.4 turbo is more powerful than 1.5 NA of XL6. Your choice should depend on your personal requirements. Carens gets bench seats, while XL6 has captain seats. I prefer the bench. XL6 has a claimed mileage of 21 in manual, Carens only has 15-16.

It does go to 120-130 easily, not very quickly, but easily. Anyway, with the speed limit being 120 in Indian roads, you won't ever find the opportunity to go beyond that speed.

I always prefer manual, but most feedbacks on 2022 XL6 allude to a serious lack of 6th gear (felt more on the highway). In contrast, the new automatic transmission is upgraded to 6-gear with paddle shift. Quite an upgrade, but my predicament is that on top of a sedate MPV if i buy an auto transmission variant, it will make the driving experience extremely boring. Grateful if you can guide.
very nice review.... automatic cruses at 100kmph @2k rpm, probably this is the reason its overtaking is so sluggish... in such situation downshift using paddle, can quick overtaking be achieved? why it takes 19 seconds for a 0 to 100 sprint? I am not a fast driver but 19 seconds is tooooo slow..... old xl6 did it in 13 seconds....
probably because they did it pure automatic. There is a reason why very hardcore drivers swear by manual, including myself. There is a set RPM mark before which the next gear won't engage in an automatic. Now if that is 2500, imagine the car being pushed so much before it changes gear, that would eat up precious time. With my XL6 and proper gearshifts, i have reached 100 in under 8 seconds flat on highways, but i rarely do that due to the rising costs of fuel. Cruise Control anyday, pain free driving and the car plateaus at a stable rpm, which leads to 18+ kmpl average to 25kmpl highest FE.
Sir, you mentioned that there's slightly higher ground clearance, how much mm? If I want to upgrade to 205/60R16 from the default 195/60R16, do you recommend it, why or why not as well please
He meant that the automatic power train pushes gear shifting according to your acceleration. If you push it hard it revs till 6000 rpm to give you more push. And at normal acceleration it shifts gear according to the speed at around 2000 rpm. Or you need to use manual mode and shift gears according to your needs

Depends, if you want to go for a naturally aspirated engine, XL6 would be a good choice considering the mileage. If you want power and torque, the only option for you is the Carens.

I think its over priced, maruti’s fit and finish and quality is not justified in 12lacs+ car…..is price me i prefer better brands like VW, Tata. Skoda and worst care scenario Kia

Even with Ertiga, that to in CNG Mode, crossed 160

If you driving more in City, go for AT...it is a nightmare to drive manual in this crazy traffic....However Manual is best for highway driving.

Is the ground clearance same or how?
It may be bit more than older version (which I have) due to 16" wheels.. but specs of 2022 still indicate that it is 180mm.
