I was 11 years when my father bought a 1981 Kawasaki KZ750. I was the only 11 year old boy that I knew that could ride it. Best time of my life. Thank you for this video and bringing back lots of memories.
Joined the USAF in '79 and bought one of these off the showroom floor in the spring of '80. Not only the same color, but I put case protectors and highway pegs on just like yours. Bought a 2022 Street Scrambler a month ago.
what kind of bars are those? i have an LTD 750 myself and the buckhorns suck but i dont want to cut the throttle cable or brake cable on a set of flatter bars so did you have to make any mods to those?
Those are the originals. I actually thought about getting a lower profile bar but hesitant because I would have to change the length of the cables or get new ones, I think.

I'm going to be buying one of these bikes soon. Looking forward to riding this spring when it warms up a bit.
Had same year and color too. Great bike. Never had a problem with it and very comfortable ride

a proper kz 750 with 4 cylinders.those earlier kz 750 twins were dogs that had vibration issues at highway speeds.

You launch one of these off the line, you better be holding on. They might not be very fast but you can bet they're Very Quick!👍👍😁❤️
It's got a kick for sure.

Glad to hear that you are starting your bike. I'm still working on getting it cleaner. You should join the Kawasaki KZ group on Facebook.

That 4into1 really changes the sound. Did you have to reject the carbs for the swap? Inquiring minds want to know
