      I appreciate your review. I'm an S5 user and trying to figure out if I should get this lens or the lumix 14-28 macro as I shoot very small interior spaces, mainly photo but also video. I also shoot some landscapes. Please give your opinion 😊 🙏

    Just recently got the Sigma 16-28 (sony version). Really like the lens, autofocus is good and must say its really sharp as well! Compared to my 24-70 Sigma Art, you really cant see the difference without really zooming in.
    Really like the lens! Was thinking of the 14-24mm before, but I need my CPL filters etc. So that wasn’t an option.

    Thanks for this review. I am a Lumix S5 MKI user. I fell in love with 28mm in prime, but sadly the only option is the chunky Sigma DG DN Art f/1.4.
    I’ve been perusing reviews but I am afraid that the size will be a dealbreaker. Instead of going for a 24mm, my latest thought is to get this 16mm to 28mm lens.

      Surely Leica vetoes the build of a Sigma 28/2.8 DG DN contemporary ... just to sell more Qs ( it's all too obvious :)

    I really appreciate and enjoy your content! You have definitely inspired me to up my game at my detail shop with the cars I post. I recently purchased a Sony alpha 7 iv and was curious what lens you think would be best for inside the shop? My goals are just to show the details and the finish better on the paint for videos and stills.
    Thank you for your help and thank you for the content!

    What about the 14-28mm new lumix lens?
    What are your thoughts?

      Great question! I probably something I should have addressed in the video! I need a lens that doesn't have a bulbous front so that I can mount my filters on to it. If the lens has that big bulb on the front it limits what I can use it for which my main purpose is automotive. But! If you aren't worried about that then I'm sure it would be a fantastic choice as well!

      @@TheCarCreative you can add a 77mm filter on the new lumix 14-28mm lens…

      Probably worth it if absolutey need the extra wide range but for a vlogging usage the constant aperture is sweeter.

    I started with a LUMIX G7 and G9, and migrated to Sony in 2020 in full frame, but have always missed the LUMIX user experience, now that the S5II has great AF, I’m seriously thinking of dropping Sony and looking at reviews for the L-Mount lenses

    Hi! I got s5mark II and also 16-28mm F 2.8 DG DN marked as E-mount, so the ring is smaller then the one from mark II. Is there L mount versions of that lens or do i need an addapter?

    I am currently using the EOS R for car photography and video and primarily use my 35mm 1.8. I’m interested in the S5ii but can’t decide to fully switch from canon or just use the EOS R as a B cam. I’m also looking to get a 24-70 but not sure if I want to get it with the S5ii or stay with canon and get the Tamron 24-70 2.8 EF version. Thoughts?

    Oh… the autofocus isn’t bad at all…
    I’m thinking about moving from Sony to lumix (I have the zve10) and these sigma lenses look amazing. Plus the upgrade to PDAF on the s5 ii as a potential long term goal makes the s5 a really tempting option rn …

    The Sigma 16-28 is a good value if you're looking for something new, but I've found the Zeiss 16-35 f/4 to be a better value. I've picked one up used for $400 in perfect condition and the image quality is excellent if you don't need a f/2.8.

  • @wheelswithnate
    @wheelswithnate 2 роки тому

    Not perfect, but really good for the "supposedly" atrociously AF with non Lumix lenses on the og S5.
    I'm gonna keep using mine but curious to see how big the jump is irl with the mkii.

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  2 роки тому

      I've slowed down my autofocus to not pull so quickly as to mitigate the "jumpyness" in the autofocus. I am really curious also about the PDAF in the mark ii, hoping it will be a much more trustworthy system! And from what I'm seeing in the reviews, it is!

    • @wheelswithnate
      @wheelswithnate 2 роки тому

      @@TheCarCreative yep, this might be it. Kai even tested it with some fine EF glass and the results are more than fine.
      Since you're also a fcp user, haven't considered the iiX with ProRes? Not probably something to use daily but not that big of a price jump either.

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  2 роки тому +1

      Ya the results with the S5ii are amazing. Big fan!
      I don’t often shoot in file sizes that are huge, mostly because I’m posting to UA-cam. But if I need to get prores I think it’s a fantastic option. Did I see somewhere I can pay for the upgrade if I want later? Will likely eventually sell the S5 mark i and upgrade in due time as well.

  • @amounifnd
    @amounifnd Рік тому

    The Focus is fine. The issue with shooting video on inanimate objects is that there is no way the Camera knows what you want to focus on. The best Autofocus in the world has no idea you want to focus on the wheel instead of the bonnet. So tapping the shutter button to lock focus on the S5 is what you need to do anyway or shoot manual. Yes for people and animals is another story for video. For photography the focus is no different to any of the big guns.
