I bed bed a profile chanel in dabs of mortar, set this to level with laser and when the concrete is in, pull to perfect level. So easy and always perfect. Not a critique. Your chanel is awesome.
@@Mr_A_Builders its such a good cause, Im 65 now and spent the first 6 weeks when I was born at Birmingham Childrens Hospital so its a small price to pay 👍
Fantastic video as always. Mainly Rich this week with interjections from Adam. Rich, I loved the Mr Ben reference! 😃 Things are moving in nicely now and it’s nice to see other trades turn up when they’re supposed to. 😉 See you all next week and I hope Matt is feeling a lot better.
Smashing it’s always very therapeutic watching concrete being poured and levelled 🙂. You’ve done more than a hard day graft there and that extension looks mega from the drone footage. Thanks for the Sunday entertainment guys and hope Matt get better soon 😀👍
Great entertainment yet again on Sunday night. Thanks guys. Please remind me the name of your laser level. I'm pretty sure you featured it in a video but cannot find it; a link to the video would be good if possible. Once again, thanks for the content.
entertaining and educational as always guys! Great channel. Dumb question but I'm not a tradesperson and I've always wondered - how do you maintain the pipe under the concrete if there is a problem with it? Or do you not expect problems because it is buried in concrete and protected?
Back breaking work… but it’s looking fantastic. The amount of shear graft to date goes without saying. Transformed this house into a great dwelling. Great video as always!!
Judging by Adams sun tan, he's finished the garden works at home !! Nice relaxed presentation by Rich too. All coming together nicely now guys, but still a lot of work to be done.
Hi again guys, seeing you moan about the go pro. I’ve just watched a video from David Arthur just ride bikes, on a new camera the DJI Osmo. Just thought I might be worth checking it out?
I've had it in the neck before if I have foamed by electrical wires due to the foam allegedly reacting with the plastic on the wires? What's your views on that as you foamed the pipe where wires where going down for the kitchen?
I have heard many things said about what builders should and shouldn’t be doing but I’ve never heard that one but surely cables can withstand chemicals to a certain extent because of where they are used 🤷👍🏻
Sorry Paul, but we're not going to waste time and money on a pointless task on the off chance that you won't have anything to moan about on a Sunday evening! You would have found something else, anyway.
@@JimGreen-ts1ul it protects the cable from damadge during plastering. Secondly it looks neat. Thirdly if down the line the cable is damaged you can sometimes use the old cable to draw a new cable through the capping without damadgeing the wall.
@@paulf2529 If it’s Dot &Dab then it won’t serve any purpose, originally designed to stop the plasterers trowel from damaging…..Once it’s plastered you won’t tell how neat it is, and to be fair the clipping is neat as well. Also if it was actually left free behind Dot & Dab and the Dab put on the wall so the cables were not covered removal of wiring if required would be even easier!!
Another great video fella’s. I’m sure the concrete firm you used are the same tornado bunch I used last week!! Nothing like being shouted at for 2 hours and drained of cash to say thank you. Hope you all have a great week lined up in the sunshine 👍🏻
Great video as always. Just wanted to ask the name of the dumpy level you used near the beginning to get you floor level. At the same stage of laying MOT, sand..etc so could really use something like that to get my base flat. All the best.
I really ought to buy one of those soil pipe chamfering tools, i still use a grinder but not the safest method. I like to use fairy liquid rather than pipe lube or silicone spray.
They really are a great investment. I was told many years ago that fairy liquid affects the integrity of the rubber pipe seals. I don’t know if that’s true or not. 🤷
@@Mr_A_Builders you could well be right regards the fairy, or they just want us to buy lubricating gell at £7 a tub on top of a Kings ransom for the fittings!
That guy with the concrete hose and spade poked several holes in the DPM, clueless! Especially at around 40:10 you can see her leaves a massive slash in the DPM the full width of the shovel 😱
Great video as ever. Quick question : On some other channels, they put the PIR under the main pour of concrete, any particular reason you do it the other way around?
Good work guys but please have a word with the guy resting the pump hose on the shovel. You can clearly see its likely to compromise the DPM at some point.

Every tradey has a Nigel or four, people you would happily slap if the opportunity arose. Nice work as always chaps. Cold beer in back garden after that one. Have you got a hot tub yet? You look like you’re about the age those start to seem like a good idea 🤣🤣

Great video again of progress guys….keep it up! 👍
I see the inspector been supervising your work! 😼
Excellent job guys. Loved the ending. You put in a sterling effort staying late on a Friday, evening
Cheers, Karl! Hope you're well, mate.
Thanks
Thank you ever so much Dave that really is very kind of you and it’ll go in to the pot to make a big difference for the kids at Christmas 👍🏻

Love your videos, lovely jolly banter, while doing a brilliant professional job. First class work.
Great video as always lads, can I just ask how come you didnt use one of those questionable looking vibrators to bring the air bubbles up?
There’s no real need duke. This was only a 100mm thick slab. Thanks for the comment and watching the video 👍🏻

I was thinking Doc Brown from BTTF :-)
Laying that concrete at your age is hardcore😮 but I see UA-camrs are having problems with gopro cameras🤔
At my age? how very dare you 😂
Excellent 👏👏👏
We saved loads of time and money by getting 7 lads in for an hour to do our footings, 1.4m deep, 18m total length
Hard work though but so so quick
like watching you guys 👍
Any bodies under thar? 😊

Good grief Adam - you look totally buggered at the end there. No 'fence but you should hit the sack earlier - no more late nights for a while...
Sod that! Early nights are for losers!!!
@@Mr_A_Builders Fair enough. You clearly recover faster than I did at your age - I assume you are in your late sixties (just my little joke).

Mad the concrete guys dont help srpead it

Man! That’s a big hose!
